How many angels did Chad see altogether? Question 2 Last Sunday, Brad was at a park when a UFO landed next to him. He was surprised to see a large group of strange-looking aliens alight from the UFO. 2/9 of the aliens had green hair. The rest had purple hair. If there were 1415 fewer green haired aliens than purple haired aliens, how many aliens were there altogether?
2 Question 3 Parker built a large fence to keep his pet dinosaurs inside. 2/11 of his dinosaurs were friendly Dimetrodons. The rest were fierce Velociraptors. If there were 4466 more Velociraptors than Dimetrodons, how many dinosaurs did Parker have? Question 4 My mother made some delicious toad wart stew last night. It was so good that I gobbled up 14/19 of the stew while it was still in the pot. My brother finished the rest. If I ate 2385 liters of stew more than my brother, how much stew was in the pot in the beginning?
3 Question 5 Last Sunday, Adam's house was invaded by snakes and crocodiles. Adam sprayed them with water to chase them away. The number of snakes was 3/5 of the number of crocodiles. There were 358 more crocodiles than snakes. How many animals did I spray altogether? Question 6 Professor Poga was an evil scientist who caught beggars and performed unspeakable experiments on them. Last Sunday, I sneaked into his lab. I was horrified when I opened one of the cages. There were people with the heads of hissing snakes inside. When I opened another cage out of curiosity, there were people with the tongues of frogs inside. The number of frog men was 5/7 of the number of snake men. If there were 432 fewer frog men than snake men, how many hideous men did I see?
4 Question 7 Hiker Horatio was hiking in a forest one day when he stumbled upon a horde of ogres and trolls feasting on the maggot-ridden dead body of a brontosaurus. There were 784 more trolls than ogres there. The number of ogres was 3/11 of the number of trolls. How many monsters were eating? Question 8 My grandpa is a professor who studies dung beetles. He has 200 more baby beetles than adult beetles. The number of adult beetles he has is 3/8 of the number of baby beetles. 1/5 of his adult beetles are females. He has 7 times as many male baby beetles as female baby beetles. I am sure you will beetle your eyebrows as you battle this question. How many male beetles does he have?
5 Question 9 I had a shock when I boarded the bus to go to school this morning. 1/9 of the passengers were formally dressed iguanas. 3/8 of the remaining passengers were hippos in swimsuits. 2/5 of the rest of the passengers were chameleons in leather jackets. The remaining passengers were lions reading the morning paper. If there were 124 more lions than iguanas, how many animals did I see? Question 10 My brother collects ghouls in his basement and feeds them corpses which he steals from mortuaries. When last I checked, 2/11 of the ghouls were adult males. 2/9 of the rest were adult females. 6/7 of the remaining ghouls were cute baby girls. The rest were wild baby boys. If there were 445 more baby girls than baby boys, how many ghouls were lurking in my basement?

The aliens made the humans build a towering temple to their god, the mighty Zfulgu. 4/13 of the unlucky humans were Africans. 4/9 of the remaining humans were Chinese. 3/5 of the rest of the humans were Indians. The remaining humans were Caucasians. The Indians and Caucasians killed the alien guards one night, stole a spaceship and fled to Earth. If 370 humans escaped, how many humans did the aliens abduct in the beginning? Question 12 My father is a mad doctor who keeps mad patients in his mental asylum. 7/17 of his patients are head bangers. 3/10 of his remaining patients are eye gougers. 5/7 of the rest of his patients are serial killers. The remaining patients whisper to ghosts. If the total number of eye gougers and serial killers is 1088, how many patients does my dad have in total?
7 Question 13 It was Show and Tell Day at my school yesterday. 1/12 of the students brought toy robots. 1/4 of the students, for some weird reason, brought dead cockroaches. The remaining 392 students brought their dead grandmothers. How many students were there altogether? Question 14 Carl's mangy mongrel had too many fleas on its body. So the crazy boy set fire to the dog. 1/9 of the fleas died in the blaze. 1/3 of the fleas dropped unconscious to the floor. The rest of the fleas, 270 of them, fled to Carl's smelly Schnauzer. How many fleas were on the mongrel in the beginning?

She delicately took out encyclopedias from 1/4 of her patients' stomachs. She fished out darning needles from 243 patients. As for her remaining 324 patients, she pulled out unbroken wineglasses from them. How many patients did she operate on last year? Question 16 Bob, a dog breeder, had over a thousand dogs in his house. 4/15 of his dogs were Dalmatians. 1/5 of his dogs were pretty Poodles. 146 dogs were bloodthirsty Bloodhounds and the rest, 438 of them, were pugnacious Pugs. How many more Pugs than Dalmatians did Bob have?
