2 RULES, REGULATIONS & WAIVER Injuries and Illness Total Canine strives to provide your dog with excellent care and fun while boarding with us. Although the dogs are supervised at all time during play, injuries can still occur, such as scratches, cuts or sprained joints. Such injuries are rare, but they do happen at all day care/ boarding facilities. In addition, while infrequent, dogs can get into fights, even under close supervision. Common areas or bites because of these fights are the snout, ears, tuft of the neck and paws. Total K9 has procedures to screen dogs for aggressive behavior and we do not allow aggressive dogs to board with us. However, even the friendliest of dogs can get into fights with very little warning. In addition to injuries, it is possible for dogs to transfer illness such as upper respiratory infections and kennel couch, even with the required vaccinations and boosters. This is just like school for children where the flu or strep can be passed from child to child. Such illnesses do not occur often and all dogs must have the necessary vaccinations at check in. What happens if my dog does not get along with another dog while boarding? If you dog does not like a dog while boarding, they will be rotated during play time. Your dog will be teamed up with like players so they will get the proper exercise and attention. If your dog doesn t like more than one dog, your dog will not be allowed to interact with the other dogs and will be given special one on one playtime. Further boarding will be prohibited. Crate Use Total K9 is not 100% cage free. Although we try to have as much cage free time as possible, there are times your dog will be crated. It is mandatory they are fed in a cage to prevent other dogs from trying to steal their food. Also, to avoid bloat, all dogs will remain in a cage for a minimum of 30 minutes before they can play. I also believe dogs like children need naps. Over stimulation can cause a dog to get grumpy just like us humans. There will be times no one will be home due to conflicting work schedules, at such times all dogs will be crated for safety.
3 DAY CARE In the event of bad weather, I may, at my discretion, bring your dog and other boarders to work with me and let them run in day care. You agree that the same rules apply with Fuzz Face and Friends as it does with Total K9. They will be caged during classes. Transportation: You understand that your dogs are not covered on either my vehicle or business insurance in the unlikely event of an accident. Total Canine will not be liable for any claims of injury or lost in the event of an accident whether the accident was Total Canine s fault or the fault of someone else. Animal Abandonment I understand that if I do not pick up my dog within 5 days of the agreed upon pick up date, I will be sent a certified letter regarding the dog s abandonment. Should the animal not be removed within the specified time, I the client, hereby relinquish all claims to my animal, but I am not relieved of my contractual liability of any treatment, boarding or care furnished. Drop off/pick up: All drop off and pick up will be at my training center, unless you have opted to have me pick them up or bring them home. If I transport, there will be a minimum $10 fee added to you bill. Drop off/pick up times must be kept to the best of your ability. I work around the time you agreed to drop them off or pick them up. If you are running late, Total Canine has the discretion to leave for my next scheduled appointment and charge you an additional $25 rescheduling fee. Drop off and pick up times are from 8 am to 1 pm Monday Friday and by appointment only. If you need a later Pick up time, you can opt to schedule
4 with Tammy for Daycare There will be an additional $15 daycare fee and dog s must be picked up by 5:30 unless you have made other arrangements with Tammy. Weekend hours are by appointment only and next day fees still apply if after 1 pm. HOLIDAYS: I do not charge extra for Holidays, however on Christmas Eve, the latest drop off or pick up time will be 1 pm. There will be NO pick up or drop off on the holiday itself so I can celebrate with my family. You must pick up the next day and normal fees will apply. Photographs: I understand that photographs, videos or digital recordings are taken of the facility, pets, staff and customers on a regular basis to be used for the advertising of Total K9 and Fuzzface & Friends, LLC. I acknowledge that images, prints and copyrights, are the property of Total K9 and Fuzzface & Friends, LLC. I give Total K9 and Fuzzface & Friends LLC my consent, permission, and authorization, without compensation to me, to use, reproduce, and alter the images, in print and electronic format (including the internet) alone or in combination with other texts and graphics. I waive my right to approve the finished photograph, advertising copy, print material or electronic files that may be used in conjunction with the images. Waiver: I agree that Total K9 or Fuzzface & Friends LLC will not be liable for any claims of injury, illness, damage or death to my dog during their stay and under no circumstances will Total K9 and Fuzzface & Friends, LLC be liable for consequential damages.
5 Fees I understand that, in the event that my dog appears to be ill or at risk of having a medical problem, Total K9 or Fuzz Face and Friends,LLC will make every attempt to contact me for instructions before seeking veterinary care. I agree that Total K9 or Fuzzface and Friends, LLC may use its reasonable discretion in seeking veterinarian care on my behalf and you will be responsible for all related expenses. I understand that Total Canine, will attempt to use your preferred Veterinarian but if your Veterinarian isn t available or other circumstances mandate, I authorize Total K9 to use the Veterinarian of their choice. I agree that Total Canine or Fuzzface and Friends, LLC will not be liable for the actions and/or decisions of the Veterinarian. You also agree to be responsible for fees assessed by Total Canine or Fuzzface & Friends, LLC for emergency care and transportation. I authorize my Veterinarian to supply Total Canine and Fuzzface & Friends,LLC and other Veterinarians my dogs medical records for use in his care. You also agree to assume all responsibility for payment of all Veterinarian services rendered including, but not limited to, all diagnostics, treatment, necessary grooming, medical supplies, prescriptions, transportation and boarding. I agree to make payments directly to the attending Veterinarian or make payment to Total Canine or Fuzzface & Friends, LLC if direct payment is not an option. Fees are $30/day for the 1 st dog $20 second dog You are charged the day you drop off with new day starting at 1 pm. (just like a hotel) Do s and Don ts DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING: Bedding Bowls Expensive collars or collars with bows or other loose items on them. They will be removed and a generic collar will be put on your dog. I am not responsible for collars that are chewed off or torn by another boarder.
