Pre-ordered tickets may be picked up at the Catalog Table in the Chardonnay Building. 8 NON REGULAR CLASSES Veteran Dog 7+ years Veteran Bitch 7+ years BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed or Variety competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record, or Dogs which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the day of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owners records. Winners of the Veteran Dog and Veteran Bitch Classes may also compete in the Best of Breed Competition, provided that they are undefeated in any Regular Class at this show. GRAND CHAMPION SELECT At the judge s discretion, Grand Championship points may be awarded to: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog, and Select Bitch. Dogs eligible for Grand Champion competition are Champions competing in BOB, move-ups to BOB, and Champions that win Non-Regular classes and become eligible for BOB. Altered or spayed CH veterans are eligible at independent specialties. Winners Dog and Winners Bitch are NOT eligible. AWARD OF MERIT One Award of Merit offered for every 3 Champions entered in Best of Breed Competition. BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR Chosen from the winners of Bred-By Dogs and Bred-By Bitches. Must be handled by a breeder in the Best Bred-By competition. If a Bred-By entrant is chosen BOB or BOW, then it is automatically awarded Best Bred-By. NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES Stud Dog 5 Brood Bitch

STUD DOG CLASS: for Dogs that have sired two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The Get is to be judged, not the Stud Dog. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be the owner of the Get.

6 STUD DOG CLASS: for Dogs that have sired two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The Get is to be judged, not the Stud Dog. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be the owner of the Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and be shown in the ring with his Get. BROOD BITCH CLASS: for Bitches that have whelped two dogs or bitches entered in this show. The Produce is to be judged, not the Brood Bitch. Owner of the Brood Bitch need not necessarily be the owner of the Produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and be shown in the ring with her Produce. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged First in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. Sweepstakes Sweepstakes are open to Maltese who, on the date of the show, shall be at least 6 months and under 18 months of age. Dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the regular classes at this show and on the same entry form with the word Sweepstakes and age classification, marked in the box for Additional Classes on the official AKC entry from. Sweepstakes wins carry no AKC Championship points. Champions of Record, or dogs who have earned enough Championship points according to their owner s records, are not eligible. SWEEPSTAKES CLASSIFICATION Junior Dogs, 6 mos. & under 9 mos. Junior Dogs, 9 mos. & under 12 mos. Senior Dogs, 12 mos. & under 15 mos. Senior Dogs, 15 mos. & under 18 mos. Junior Bitches, 6 mos. & under 9 mos. Junior Bitches, 9 mos. & under 12 mos. Senior Bitches, 12 mos. & under 15 mos. Senior Bitches, 15 mos. & under 18 mos. Best Junior in Sweepstakes will be chosen from winners of each of the Junior classes (6-9 & 9-12). Best Senior in Sweepstakes will be chosen from the winners of each of the Senior Classes (12-15 & 15-18). The Best Junior will compete against the Best Senior to determine the Grand Sweepstakes Winner. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZE MONEY 35% of Sweepstakes entries will be retained by the Club to defray expense. The remaining money will be distributed as follows: 50% of remaining fees in the class 25% of remaining fees in the class 15% of remaining fees in the class 10% of remaining fees in the class First Place Second Place Third Place Fourth Place 6 Notice to Exhibitors Conditional, unsigned, incomplete or telephoned entries cannot be accepted. Entries without fees are not acceptable. Please typewrite, use fillable PDF or neatly print all entries. Do not use pencil. Entries not on official AKC entry forms or photocopies of entry forms without the agreement and rules on the reverse side are not acceptable. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. No telephone changes. Owners or their agents are responsible for errors on entry forms, for entering the same dog twice, or for entering a dog in a class in which it is ineligible to compete. Entry fees will not be refunded in event of errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date and time, nor in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, in season, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barre3d from competition by the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, fire, Act of God, strikes, extreme weather conditions (including but not limited to extreme heat, floods, hurricanes, lightning, or earthquakes), or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fees will be made. Withdrawal of entry before closing date will receive refund less $6 processing fee. Refunds are mailed in the time frame of seven days before to seven days after the event. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. Minimum charge of $33 for all returned checks. Confirmation of entry & schedule of judging time will be sent to the address on the Official AKC Entry Form after the closing date. If an exhibitor has not received a copy of the schedule within seven days of the show, the Show Secretary should be contacted. Please note: Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one the regular classes to Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is made by the Superintendent or Show Secretary one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at the show. See American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 6 Dogs need to be a the show only at scheduled time of judging and may leave immediately after unless required for further judging. The Show Committee will use care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors but will not be responsible for, nor assume the responsibility in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. The welfare of the exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Please secure proper crates or means to confine dogs for the welfare of all concerned. Puppies and dogs not entered in the show will not be permitted on the show premises. An Agent is a person 18 years or older, other than an owner or co-owner, designated by the owner or co-owner to be handler or, and responsible for, the dog at the show. Agents names may be followed by the initials which represent their AKC recognized professional group affiliation or certification. Persons seeking the services of such n agent should familiarize themselves with the requirements for professional group membership or certifications. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Rabies vaccine is required in the State of California. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the official AKC Entry Form for this event. 7
