8 CARD SNAP CHAT I-80 X CHOPPER X IRISH WHISKEY THF/PHAF Polled BW: 72 lbs. from a first calf heifer Register 62.5% Maine and 25% Simmental Selling 300 Straws of Semen All semen will be available for pickup sale night. Shipping is available at the purchaser s expense. Snap Chat This will be the only opportunity to purchase Snap Chat semen in Illinois State Fair Grand Champion Steer 2016 Wisconsin State Fair Reserve Grand Champion Steer The Snap Chat Story: 2017 Pennsylvania Farm Show Reserve Grand Champion Steer Snap Chat is a very rare individual and one of the most consistent and exciting sires we have ever known, whether we owned him or not. He creates the same great look and quality every time. When he was born we knew he was something special and we thought we had just raised a great calving-ease sire but, now with three crops on the ground, he has turned into much more than we first thought. From just his first crop after seeing mostly natural service, Snap Chat sired a set of twin bull calves for our great friend Dave Cox, IL. Those two calves went on to be named Grand Champion Steer of the 2016 Illinois State Fair and Reserve Champion Steer of the Wisconsin State Fair. Snap Chat also sired our Champion MaineTainer Female of the Illinois State Fair that sold in this sale for $26,500 and Justin Glossner s Reserve Champion Steer of the 2017 PA Farm Show, plus the $9,750 top-selling bull of the 2016 OMAA Sale. Several customers have also reported other excellent results from their calves, many from bred female purchases. Snap Chat is a true calving ease sire that does not sacrifice calf quality or value. His dam is a remarkable performer that has produced 4 exceptional natural calves for us. Snap Chat was her first. Her second was a $16,500 heifer that sold to Doug Stork, MI, in our 2015 sale. Her third is CARD Chatterbox that is a featured sire at Martin Livestock, IN. Her fourth was CARD Tinder, the $54,000-valued top seller of the 2017 Frozen Gold Sale that is now deceased. Snap Chat was relatively young in his calf crop and we did not start collecting him right away since we wanted to turn him out. After that we did not collect him aggressively enough to keep up with customer demand. Now we have a limited supply at best and there will be no way to get ahead of customer demand. For these reasons we have decided to manage our inventory by selling his semen only at auction. Thank you for your understanding, interest, and support. She was a multiple winner as a show heifer and she has become a tremendous production cow. Her very first daughter was selected as a Reserve Bred & Owned Division Champion of the 2103 National Junior Angus Show, and the next heifer calf from this beauty was a $16,500 product of First-N-Goal that went to Ben Kiner, IL, in the 2014 edition of this sale. Her first son was a full brother to Ben s heifer that brought $4,500 to Larry Simmons Farms, OH, another $5,000 son by Pure Product did great work for Dave Cox, IL, plus another daughter by American Classic was a $5,500 selection from The Program by Mark Wills, IL. We have retained two very impressive daughters of Cammie one of them produced a $7,250 Unbelievable son in our 2014 bull sale and a great maternal sister that gave us Lot 17, one of the best bred heifers in this sale. This is the same cow family that created Remedy 1160, the $16,500 top seller of our 2009 Eastern Xposure Bull Sale. That bull did an incredible job for McLemore Farms, OK, and this is his equally impressive maternal sister. This cow family breeds true for consistent size, good looks, fertility, function, and longevity. Cammie 406W looks half her age and has plenty of spunk left for sure; she is one of the prettiest sights we have in our pastures and she calves on time every year. One sexy and potent Angus cow for sure, Camilla 406W is proven to produce even better than she looks she is a 100% premium performer - and she still has so much left to give. This is the backbone of The Program that we said we d never sell. Pure Product x Lot 1 9 Pure Product x Lot 1 First-N-Goal x Lot 1 Remedy 1160

This remarkable producer has given us nothing but fun and profit over her career starting with her second calf, CARD Caroline by CARD The Situation. That heifer calf went on to win nearly every time out including a great run at the 2013 North American International where she won the junior show and gained a considerable fan club and later as the Supreme Champion Cow/Calf of the World Beef Expo. Since then, this cow has given us two strong full brothers to Caroline one of which is doing strong work for Cantwell Cattle, IL, and another that is one of our best from our current crop plus a full sister that gave us the powerful bred heifer that sells here as Lot 84. We know that Eagle Scout daughters make great cows but this elite performer is surely one of the best; and she is bred for another full sibling to her greatest successes. Angus Cow 131 UNREGISTERED ANGUS FEMALE Spring, 2011 Tag 131 Sire: B&J Balance Dam: New Design 878 x Angus 3 Bred to calve 2/25 to Uproar Another core performer and one of the best-looking Angus cows we have in the herd, this lovely lady is the dam of a great string of successes by Uproar. Her first daughter by this mating was CARD Jackie, Sarah Lillesand s Supreme Champion Female of the 2014 Wisconsin State Fair and Supreme Champion of the 2014 World Beef Expo Open Show. Younger full sisters include two more outstanding females, one of which sells here as Lot 16; she is one of our best. This cow is hard to fault physically and she has been great property all along. She will give you a herd bull or a top heifer calf from this proven mating. We decided to sell some very special cows this year. We hope you like them. Lot 3 Uproar x Lot 3 10

Her dam was our lead-off female two years ago not only because of her elite quality but also due to her time-tested pedigree that produced national winners and multiple high sellers for us over the years. This April heifer is super complete in her design with the elite style that this major-winning cow family delivers each time. Her strong performance makes her a leader as well a hallmark of her sire s first crop and this one just has show written all over her. She is ahead of her winning siblings at this point and, with this being Lucas s last year to compete at the Angus Junior National, we can only offer half of this special heifer. Her sire, Sky High, is the most aggressive seed stock purchase we have made. Along with our partners, we reached out to get Sky High because we were confident in his ability to take us to the next level by producing cattle like this Lot 4. After nearly selling out of his semen during the mid-winter months and before any calves had hit the ground really, it appears that others feel that same way; he is for real and his first calves prove it. This offering of bred daughters will show you his versatility and ability from a variety of cows but this special heifer is surely a feature. She is the product of a trusted cow family from a dam that is a strong maternal sister to the Uproar daughter we sold to Diamond M Cattle, KS, that produced the $37,000 and red-hot DMCC Counter Attack with her first calf and then turned around and produced his $20,000 full sister last fall. This heifer is hard to fault and she will pack some extra genetic punch in production.
