1 2018 SUMMARY OF EVENTS Currently Available for Sponsorship Throughout the year, the Oregon Humane Society holds a number of annual events, as well as unique special events. We welcome invitations from businesses to participate in their events. While we wish we could participate in all events, we must balance availability with maximizing our finite resources. Each of these events helps raise money to support all of the programs and community services provided by OHS. Your sponsorship helps the community OHS relies 100% on private donations/receives no tax dollars OHS finds homes for more than 11,000 pets annually, including 1000s from overwhelmed shelters in Oregon, Washington and California Our Humane Officers investigate 1,000 cruelty complaints each year Over 2,000 volunteers support OHS and contribute the equivalent of over 100 full time employees OHS uses donor dollars wisely. (Check us out on Navigator.org) Each year, OHS inspires over 17,000 children with our values-based educational program inspiring the next generation to be responsible, respectful and compassion through programs like summer camps, after-school clubs, youth volunteer programs and targeted in-school programs Do you know the top four reasons community-minded businesses support OHS? 1. The company supports what OHS does and how OHS does it; OHS is effective, efficient and innovative! 2. Increase bottom line, 3. Employees: shared values, want employees to feel good, employee led giving committee, and 4. Good PR (internal & external). Attendees at many of these events are a very attractive demographic: Their top interests: years old, skews towards women - Home/lifestyle Bachelor s Degree or higher - Public affairs/current events Higher than average household income - Food/Entertainment 1
