5 Notice to Exhibitors Dogs may Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. Space for unentered dogs will not be provided at this show as provided in Chapter 11, Section 11 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. Only Best In Show, Groups, and Best Junior Handler Trophies will be presented in the ring. All other winners will be given a card, the owner or agent may claim the trophy at the trophy table. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show, none will be mailed. The club reserves the right to substitute any trophy with one of equal value. The Show-Giving Club, the Show Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children under the control of their parents or guardians. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted. At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on a ramp: Sussex Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Kerry Blue Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Keeshonds, Bulldogs, Chow Chows, Whippets. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In an emergency situation, an exhibitor does have the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.) SHOW SITE RULES The show site will open to exhibitors on Friday, October 6 after 3PM. Building will close 30 minutes after conclusion of Match or by 10PM. Building will reopen at 7AM, Saturday, October 7, Dogs may not be left overnight in the building. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show judging. PLEASE CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR DOGS! Substantiated complaints by hotels will result in a Bench Show Committee hearing. Single vehicles limited to single parking spaces. RV Parking will be directed by Grounds Committee and Security. No electrical hookups for RV s, etc. Ex-pens may be set up on grassy areas. Public exercise areas will be marked. Absolutely No Smoking in the building. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the Augusta Kennel Club, or its members, in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or improperly vented conditions. 6 DIRECTIONS TO THE SHOW Coming from South Carolina:Take I-20 West to Exit #1. This is SC Hwy 230/Martintown Rd. After exiting turn left and go over I-20. Go approximately miles to the 5th traffic light. This will be Georgia Avenue. Turn right. Go to the 2nd traffic light and turn right on Buena Vista Avenue. (Wachovia Bank will be on the right hand corner of the intersection.) Buena Vista takes you to Riverview Park, you will pass a football stadium on the right. Continue past the Lions field, around a curve and to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign. This will take you into Riverview Park. The Activities Center is on the left. Coming from Georgia:Take I-20 East to Exit #200. Turn left off of the exit ramp. This is River Watch Parkway (last exit in Georgia). River Watch Pkwy ends near downtown and turns into Jones St. Go to the 2nd traffic light and turn left (4.7 miles from Exit 200). This will be 13th St and will take you across the Savannah River into South Carolina. Go to the first traffic light and turn left onto Buena Vista Ave (Wachovia Bank on left hand corner of intersection). Buena Vista takes you to Riverview Park, you will pass a football stadium on the right. Continue past the Lions field, around a curve and to the stop sign. Turn left at the stop sign. This will take you into Riverview Park. The Activities Center is on the left.
