4 PARKING INFORMATION & REGULATIONS Overnight Reserved Parking is a privilege extended by the Nisqually Kennel Club. The club reserves the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who feel that they cannot abide by the rules and regulations or resorts to abusive language. All parking is at your own risk. The club assumes no responsibility for fire, theft and/or damage to any vehicle or its cargo. Handicapped placards may be checked with drivers ID at the discretion of NKC for both day and overnight parking. Reserved Parking Fee $30.00 per night. 1. Space size will be 22 feet wide and 40 feet long. 2. Vehicles or combinations over 40 feet long or 22 feet in width will require two spaces. 3. No reserved overnight parking until gates open at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August Gates will open at 6:00 A.M. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Gates will be closed at 11:00 P.M. 5. Handicapped parking available with Handicap Permit, Placard and License Number and are subject to reservation deadlines. 6. All vehicles must be completely self-contained. NO DISCHARGING OF GRAY WATER OR SANITARY TANKS ALLOWED. 7. Exhibitors are responsible for any damage and all clean up of their parking space. FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN LOSS OF PARKING PRIVILEGES AT FUTURE SHOWS. 8. All vehicles will be parked in the same direction in the rows (unless deemed necessary by parking staff). 9. All RVs must have a WORKING FIRE EXTINGUISHER. 10. All RVs using a generator must have proper exhaust venting. 11. Do not operate generators between 10PM and 6AM 12. Unauthorized vehicles will be impounded. 13. Day of show parking is $5.00 per space per day and will not be in reserved area. Motorhomes and campers will be charged two (2) spaces. 14. There are no power hookups available. 15. Parking personnel will assist you in locating your space and answering questions you may have. THEY WILL NOT REASSIGN SPACES (unless deemed necessary by parking staff). USE OF RAMPS At the sole discretion of the judge, the following approved breeds may be examined on the ground or on a ramp: Boykin Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, *Basset Hounds, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, *Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, and Norrbottenspets.*By Board approved policy, Basset Hounds and Bulldogs are expected to be judged on the ramp during breed judging. The ramp is not intended to be used during the group and/ or Best in Show judging except for Bassets and Bulldogs which by board approved policy are expected to be judged on the ramp. Breeds not designated as either table or ramp breeds may only be examined on the ground. Exception: Boykin Spaniels and Whippets may be examined on the ground, on a table or on a ramp. For the judging of Juniors, the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp breeds. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. Reasonable notice is defined as 5 to 10 business days prior to the event. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.) 4 NISQUALLY KENNEL CLUB 2014

NO UNENTERED DOGS PERMITTED AT RINGSIDE. NO SMOKING ON THE ARTIFICIAL TURF. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up after his own dog(s). Pooper-scoopers will be placed around the show grounds for your convenience. Parents shall be responsible for their children at all times. NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER BLADES OR BIKES WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. Grooming and exercise pens in DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. Limited electrical is available for grooming. PLEASE NOTE: NO GROOMING OR SMOKING UNDER SHADE TENTS, IN AISLES, OR ON THE ARTIFICIAL TURF. ALL CRATES AND DOGS MUST BE REMOVED FROM RINGSIDE IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHOWING. 6 TRANSFER OF ENTRIES NOTE: TRANSFER OF ENTRIES AND REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS FOR PUBLISHED JUDGE CHANGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IN THE OFFICE AFTER 12:00 NOON ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 7. AFTER THIS TIME, YOU MUST CONTACT THE SUPERINTENDENT ON SITE. CONFORMATION: Dogs may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is presented to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP: Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one-half hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. Correction may be made from one age division to another. provided this transfer must be made to the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship class at the show. OBEDIENCE OR RALLY: A dog who has earned a title after entries have closed may be moved to another class in a future trial, provided the transfer request is presented to the Superintendent in writing at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Move-ups may be approved provided the class and judge are available and the class has not reached its limit. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. BEST VETERAN COMPETITION SATURDAY ONLY Best Veteran will be awarded from the First Place winners in the Veterans Classes ONLY immediately following each breed. If the Best of Breed is awarded to a dog/bitch coming from one of the Veterans Classes for that breed, the Best Veteran win is automatic. First through Fourth Place in each Group will be awarded a rosette, with the Group winner going on to the Best Veteran in Show. Judges for Best Veteran in Breed will be as published for the regular classes. Best Veteran in Show will be judged immediately following regular Best in Show. NKC celebrates our Junior Handlers. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in each Breed/Variety, each Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed/Variety winner will then complete in their respective group for First through Fourth Placements. All First Place Group Winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show.
