Combined Tests Exchange Policy If the limit for entries is not reached in one test and the limit for entries is exceeded in the other test, the WSDTC may exchange tracks based on available test sites and judging assignment limits. This exchange of tracks will be done in accordance with Chapter 1 Section 17a of the Tracking Regulations (May 9, 2017 version). Test Worker Draw Option The test worker draw option, as allowed by the AKC Tracking Regulations, Chapter 1, Section 17d, will be used in this test for club members and other workers as published as Club Policy. It is the responsibility of the entrant to indicate on the entry form if they are eligible for the test work draw. The entrant must also include their WSDTC Worker Draw card(s). If you think you are eligible for the worker draw, but do not have a points card from the WSDTC, you should contact the Secretary prior to submitting your entry form. The Secretary will confirm if the entrant is eligible for the worker draw. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS Entries close 6:00 pm Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the Test Secretary s home. Entry fees: VST ($130.00); TDU ($65.00) which includes the AKC Recording Fee [AKC recording fee is $3.50 per entry/$3.00 per additional dog] * Entries will not be accepted without fees or a certification (for the TDU test only). * A written statement (a Certification) must accompany each TDU entry form for any dog that has not previously passed an AKC TD or TDU test. This statement must be dated within one year of the date the test is to be held, signed by a person approved to judge tracking tests, and must certify that the dog has satisfactorily performed a certification test. Mail all Entry Forms and Certifications and/or Worker Draw Cards to: Beth Hubbartt, Test Secretary, 2448 Maplewood Ave., Winston-Salem, NC Make checks payable to the Winston-Salem Dog Training Club. Please provide separate forms of payment for each dog entered in the tests if you are entering multiple dogs and/or multiple tests. Entries should not be sent with a signature required. The Test Secretary is not responsible for ensuring delivery of any entry sent with a signature required that has been held at the US Post office or other delivery service. Entries will be accepted up until the official closing date, even though the advertised limit has been reached, and a drawing will be held to determine which entries will participate in the Tracking Tests. Entries will be drawn at the Test Secretary s home between 6:00 and 6:30 pm Tuesday October 31, Any interested persons may attend. The drawings shall be completely at random among all entries received, except that preference shall be given to those dogs that have not previously earned a Variable Surface Tracking Test title for the VST test or a Tracking Dog or

3 Tracking Dog Urban title for the TDU test. When the advertised limit has been drawn, all remaining entries, subject to the same preference set forth, shall be assigned a position on an Alternate List corresponding to the order in which they were drawn. Results of the drawing for entries. Entrants will be contacted by and/or telephone between the hours of 6:30 pm and 9:00 pm (EDT) on Tuesday October 31, 2017, advising them of the results. Alternates will be given the opportunity to accept or decline the alternate position. All those submitting entries are requested to be personally available (or provide a designated agent) to receive this notification. Errors on entry blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellations of entries after the published closing date. Unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of or attached to the Official AKC Entry Form are not acceptable. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered, or substituted after the entries have closed. No refund of entry fees after entries close and drawing of tracks except: 1) Fee (less $3.50 for AKC recording fee) of drawn entrant who notifies the Test Secretary of withdrawal prior to test date, provided an alternate is available to fill the vacancy 2) Full refund of alternate entry fee if alternate does not participate. Refund will be made within 7 days of event. Bitches in season may participate. Please notify the Test Secretary and Judges prior to the drawing for the tracks. The last track(s) to be laid shall be reserved for the bitch(es) in season. Parking space will be provided away from the general tracking area to minimize any disturbance to any male dogs entered in the test. A judging program including an updated listing of test sites will be ed to entrants and alternates following the drawing for the entries. Those wanting a hard copy version must request this from the Test Secretary. ALL handlers should assemble at The Winston Salem Dog Training Club at 8:30 am for the drawing of the tracks. The TDU draw will be first, followed by the VST draw. The first TDU track will be run following the draw and after a short drive to the first track site. The first VST track will be run after the last TDU track is completed or when the track has aged sufficiently. Directions to The Winston Salem Dog Training Club From Greensboro and Points East: On Business I-40 westbound, take Exit 6B (52N / US 311N toward Mt. Airy). Take Exit 115B, University Parkway South. Go 1.6 miles and turn right onto Bethabara Park Blvd. Go approximately 1 mile and turn left onto Bethania Station Road (railroad tracks/stop light). The club is directly on the right. From Statesville and Points West: On I-40 eastbound, keep left at Exit 188 (Bus I-40E/US-421S Toward Winston Salem). Take Exit 2B and stay left on the exit ramp (67 W/Silas Creek Pkwy N). As you approach the second stoplight (approx 3.3 mile) at the Silas Creek Parkway and 67 W split, keep left to stay on Silas Creek Pkwy. At the second stoplight (approximately 1.7 mile), turn left onto Bethabara Road. After the one lane road in Bethabara Park, turn right at the stop sign onto Bethania Station Road. The club is one block ahead on the left. 4 All handlers should be prepared to drive from track to track. We will not be returning to the club after the TDU test is completed. The first VST track will follow the last TDU track. The Club building will remain open for those exhibitors who wish to return after their track has been completed. A pot-luck luncheon courtesy of the club will be provided at the conclusion of the VST test. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e. Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, particolor), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rules refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
