(Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 12 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired). Collies (rough, smooth). The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in the premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e. age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. 10 DOGS LEFT IN IMPROPERLY VENTILATED VEHICLES All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the Papago Labrador Retriever Club or its members, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. If the dog is crated and is in distress the Club reserves the right to remove the animal. From I-10 Eastbound, exit 27th Ave. left, turn right on Thomas, turn right on 19th Ave.From I-17 Southbound, exit Thomas left, turn right on 19th Ave. From I-17 Northbound, exit Thomas right, turn right on 19th Ave. From Grand Ave., turn east on Encanto. Obedience and Rally will be in the North Hall of the Coliseum. Exhibitors please use the Monte Vista entrance off 19th Avenue and park on the North side of the Coliseum. If you will be using your wheels, go to the West entrance and use the ramp. Once inside turn left and the North hall is just a short distance. The doors facing the parking lot provide direct entrance to the North hall. 10

11 ATTENTION EXHIBITORS 1. It is a violation of state law to bring alcohol, illegal drugs, and weapons onto the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Any person(s) violating the state law will be escorted off the premises by Fairgrounds security. 2. Exhibitor access to the Back Yard (outdoor rings and outdoor setups) and Coliseum is 3:00 pm Wednesday, January 31, See Entry Confirmation/Judging Program for most current information available regarding access times. 3. Dogs must be removed from the show site by 8:00 pm Monday, February 5, Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings in accordance with state statute. 5. There will be NO vehicles allowed at any time in any of the show buildings. 6. Food and beverage stands will be available on the show grounds. 7. No food sales by vendors or exhibitors allowed. 8. Water is available at this site. 9. Violations of rules and regulations or inappropriate behavior towards Arizona State Fairgrounds employees, show committee and officials or fellow exhibitors may subject any participant in this event to disciplinary action by the show committee. PARKING 1. Obedience/Rally exhibitors please use the Monte Vista entrance off 19th Avenue and park on the North side of the Coliseum 2. Day of Show parking is $8.00 per day (Friday thru Monday), per vehicle. If you need to leave the grounds for any reason, have your parking stub stamped at the gate for re-entry without charge. If your parking stub is not stamped you will be charged for parking each time your vehicle comes thru the gate. 3. Four-day parking passes will be sold on site for $16.00 on Wednesday and Thursday. Times and location will be listed in the entry confirmation. 4. Vehicles with Prepaid Reserved Parking will not be charged an additional daily parking fee. 5. Unlimited parking space is available. 6. Parking lots are open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm each day. 7. The person with the handicap license must be present in the vehicle. 8. No set-ups, grooming, x-pens or awnings in Day of Show Parking. Absolutely only one space per vehicle. No exceptions. 11

12 UNLOADING ZONE Due to the number of exhibitors who have abused the unloading area by leaving their vehicles parked there throughout the day, we must take measures to insure that vehicles are removed within 30 minutes of entering the unloading zone. Upon entering the unloading zone, you will be asked to leave either a $40.00 deposit or your driver s license with the attendant. Upon leaving the area in a timely manner your deposit/license will be returned to you. Vehicles left in the unloading zone after one hour are subject to being towed. Any cash deposit will be forfeited. If a driver s license was left, it will be returned upon payment of a $40.00 fine. Rude or obnoxious behavior towards the attendant will not be tolerated and subject you to disciplinary action. CRATING, SETUPS AND EXERCISE AREAS 1. Security will be provided. However, dogs, equipment or personal items left on the Show Grounds are the responsibility of each exhibitor. Neither Lost Dutchman Kennel Club, Sahuaro State Kennel Club, any of the participating specialty and group clubs nor the Arizona State Fairgrounds is responsible for lost or stolen dogs or equipment. 2. Unreserved inside crating space is provided on a first come, first serve basis. Roping off unused crating space is strictly prohibited and will be removed by the show committee. The show committee reserves the right to require the stacking of crates and any other remedies it may deem necessary for consolidating space. 3. NO ELECTRICAL CORDS allowed in aisles. 4. Exercise pens allowed outdoors only. Pens must be setup on polyethylene sheeting if mats or carpet are not used. Sawdust or comparable absorbent material used to cover the sheeting must be disposed of along with the sheeting when vacating your setup space. 5. Each exhibitor is responsible for cleaning up his (her) own setup area on a daily basis. Remember to bring a broom. 6. Grooming and crating space is available in all buildings and outdoors. 7. Tents may be used outside in the Back Yard. NO STAKING OF TENTS ALLOWED. No more than three 10 x 10 tents may be ganged together with ten feet between any group of ganged tents. All other tents require approximately five feet in between. (Fire Dept Rules). 8. Temporary crating of any breed at ringside is allowed only while that breed is being shown and then only if aisle space is greater than 20 wide. This rule will be strictly enforced. 9. Dog bathing facilities are available at the east end of the Coliseum s South Hall outside the Reserved Grooming area. Cold water only. 10. Dogs may not be left unattended in exercise pens or on grooming tables. 11. Dogs may be left overnight in the buildings. 12. Electricity is not available to unreserved setup spaces. 13. Generators may be used only outside the buildings in designated parking areas. 12

Telephoned and telegraphed entries are not accepted. All changes and cancellations must be received in writing prior to closing, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the AKC Dog Show rules. THIS SHOW is governed by The American Kennel Club. Exhibitors should read the AKC agreement on the back side of the entry blank in this Premium List. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS and Photocopies of entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. NO ENTRY CAN BE ACCEPTED that specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Telegraph or unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of errors after closing date. ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in an exercise pen. There is no provision for unentered dogs at this show. The PAPAGO LABRADOR RETRIEVER CLUB may decline entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or any other cause. No one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club or any official thereof. BITCHES IN SEASON A refund in the amount of $15.00 will be refunded for bitches who come in season after the close of entries. Veterinary verification is required. ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, barred from competition by action of the Bench Show Committee or because dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee(s) will be made. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry. There will be a $2.00 fee charged for cancellation of entry prior to closing. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $15.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. THE CLUB AND ITS SHOW SECRETARY will not be responsible for loss or damage to any dog or the possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care, custody, and control of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the Show premises. The welfare of an exhibitor's child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children at all times. DOGS MAY ARRIVE at any time prior to scheduled time of judging of their class. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Owners or handlers alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. There is no rule of this Club or the AKC that requires a Judge to wait for a dog. CLASS CASH PRIZES will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of the breed is over, and the Show Secretary advised at once. RECORDING & EVENT FEES: A Recording Fee of 50 cents and Event Services Fee of $3.00 and a Rally Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience or Tracking Trial. These fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (AKC Rules, Chapter 11, Section 2.)
