From Vicki Casey From Bob Samios Watson passed his fourth Senior test to qualify for the AKC Senior Hunter title. The hunt test was held in Hambden Ohio on June 21. Watson is trained and handled by Bob Samios. Sandfox Pulpit "Murphy" earned both his Novice Agility and Novice Jumper Titles at our last Agility Trial in Niles June 20th and 21st by double Qs both days and scoring perfect scores in three of his classes and a 95 in the fourth. Murphy also earned his CD title on Mother's Day at Akron's Obedience Trial. From Sandy Irish Alaskan Malamute club event. Hillock's Hot on the Trail earned his Novice Standard title at the YABTC trial on June 20. On July 4, he earned his Novice Agility Jumpers title in Edinboro at the From Pat Goodwin June 21 at YABTC s agility trial Pat Goodwin and Pat s Riker number 1 received their OPEN JWW title with a first place. 2 Welfare Photo of the Month Taken by Vilma O'Neill On June 16 th, Fortune, LegendHold Empress O T World CD, HSAsd, HTAD1-s, HRD1-s, ASCA-STDs,TT passed away at home from complications to cancer. She was just a few months shy of 13 years old. Fortune was the best herding dog I never trained. She is the one who taught me how herding was done. She had a huge sweeping out run which I really never taught to her. She often qualified and placed in classes, even when I was directing her the wrong way. She would give me that look like Just shut up, stand back, and I ll put them where they should go. She won a Reserve High in trial on her last leg of her HTAD1-s title. Ridgeback in Training. Diamond, OH Fortune was the mother of Birgit - LegendHold Pilgrim s Chorus, CD, RN, Paul LegendHold Nessum Dorma, CD, RN, and Tavish LegendHold Con Te Partio UD, TD, PT, NJP who was the CCA High in Trial winner a few years ago with his owner Judy Cummings of California. Fortune was the grandma of Gemini, Solar, Bardar and Lhotse. She was one of only two pups produced by LegendHold When Ashes Ascend CDX, RN, and was the litter sister of (Ch ptd) LegendHold Warrior Princess CD, PT Xena. Fortune s passing leaves a very big empty place in the house. She was an amazing dog and leaves an amazing legacy here at LegendHold Collies. Marla Belzowski From YABTC travel (West) on Mahoning Ave. 2.5 miles. Travel 2.4 miles South to Ellsworth Rd. Turn Right (West) on Ellsworth Rd. and follow it across the lower portion of Lake Milton on up to a Five Way Stop. Imagine you are coming in at seven (7) on the clock. Cross intersection to leave at two (2). It appears at this intersection, the old stagecoach road Ellsworth changed its name there to Scotts Corners Road. We are up the road on the left.3 mile. You will see signs at our entrance. PICNIC INFO Bring a dish to share, your beverage and table setting. The club will provide the meat for the picnic. 4 Just for Fun! Conneaut Lake Bark Park Canine Wedding: garb. There were games and socialization and lots of fun. At 1:00 PM, Sophie and Isaac were united in muttrimony by the Mayor of Conneaut Lake, PA. Their vows included promises to share their splunkies, join each other in rescuing people, not to drool in the water bowl and to pull their weight in the draft test of marriage. They were given in marriage by their moms, Perri Graf and Debbie Myers. The wedding party included Queen of the Bark Park, Mandy, and King of the Bark Park, Max, who were the Maid of Honor and Best Man. Wedding pictures were taken and then all the guests joined in the celebration with cake for dogs and handlers. The couple will remain in each of their homes until the time is right to make those babies, and will continue their jobs in the area of water rescue and showing. by Perri Graf On a beautiful day in May, CH Old Bays Voyage to Nitestar, Miss Sophie, and CH Bear N Mind's Master and Commander, Mr. Isaac, were united in silly muttrimony. Ok. Ok. Sounds goofy. And that's exactly what it was. The Conneaut Lake Bark Park has been sponsoring canine weddings for several years. This year is the first year that the married couple will actually consummate their marriage later. On May 16, 2015, the Park was decorated, invitations sent, and many activities were planned. 13 Agility Classes Interested in Agility? If you wish to become an active member of the agility program, please come join us at our next Agility Committee meeting on Wednesday, July 22, 6:00-8:00. All are welcome. Agility Practice If you are a club member, you are welcome to practice agility on Sundays from 8:00 a.m. until noon on the weeks that we have agility class. There is no fee and there are experienced handlers available to answer any questions you may have. NOTE: There will be NO agility practice on Sunday July 5 because of our obedience match. Since there will be no agility classes July 2 6, we are offering an open gym to all agility students on July 2 from 11:00 am 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm 8:00 pm. Agility classes for the third session of 2015 For club members, most agility classes are $24 for an 8 week class. Intro and Beginner classes are $50.
