3 LONE STAR SPOTLIGHT BRAGS N BITCHES DINNER Reported by Susan Hervey PHOTOS BY DENNIS LYONS Our 2012 Brags and Bitches dinner was held on February 18 at the home of Cynthia Parker and Jeff Curran. Jeff made his FAMOUS lasagna--offered with or without jalapenos! As a fundraiser for Belgian Tervuren Rescue, Inc., every brag on a Terv is $5. Every brag on a person or dog-not-a-terv is $10. Every bitch is $10 and isn't published! Attendees shown in the group photo on page 1 include Glenda Fick, Sarah Helber, Cynthia Parker, Jeff Curran, Pat Thomas, Dennis Lyons, Gerard Bermel, Susan Hervey, Deb Lyons, Joella Flory, Shawn Staley and Sheri Hunt. Theresa Hunter also attended, but had to leave prior to the picture! Congratulations to all and HURRAY for the nice contributions to Belgian Tervuren Rescue, Inc. PAT: Clipper is 43 points from her MACH! CYNTHIA: We got a 3 point major on Cherish! SHAWN: We got a 3 point major on Dreamer! JEFF: In memory of Chaos, the greatest Toller ever. He's missed so desperately. DENNIS: Brags on Jeff and Cynthia for hosting this dinner! JOELLA: Brag on our Vivi (a pug) for getting Best of Opposite Sex at the Garden! GLENDA: Chase got his Grand Championship 2 months before his 10th birthday! Sprint got her Championship! WB at our Regional, and WB at Kentucky, and she's almost got her Grand Championship. Maizy underwent cancer surgery 11 months ago. It was highly malignant, and she's still looking good! THERESA: Uh oh! A bitch NOT about Tervs! Page 3

JOELLA: Our 9 year old bitch Asia took breed today at San Marcos for a 5 point major toward her Grand Championship over multiple specials! DEB: Uh oh! Another bitch NOT about Tervs! SARAH: Brag on our great newsletter editor Susan! SUSAN: Brag and congratulations to Cynthia on being elected to the Texas Kennel Club. Brag on Tammy for all the hard work she's done over the years, and on Riley's first trial! PAT: Brag on Becka's 1st place Q at TKC 3 weeks ago! None of the BC's Q'd! CYNTHIA: And Clipper took 2nd place to Becka! PAT: Brag on our new Burmese kitten Suki (which means "the beloved.") Uh oh--you know! SARAH: miles! Brag on Jordan for being such a good travel mate on our trip to Canada this summer SUSAN: Brag on Jordan for not scaring up a bear and "bringing" it back to Sarah! SHAWN : Brag on Dreamer's debut in obedience and agility this year! SUSAN: Brag that Grace is studying obedience and agility! DEB: Our Indy is 10 years old! And we have a new grandson coming in June! SHAWN: Thursday night our agility teacher called Dreamer "The Weaving Queen!" CYNTHIA: Uh oh--a bitch concerning certain puppies NOT Tervs! Page 4

Pat Thomas HIGH IN HERDING TRIAL CH. WALDENMARK'S CHOCOLATE CHIP HSAs JHD and Theresa Hunter Theresa notes: Chip was entered in our herding trial for North Central Texas Herding Dog Assoc. He was in Started A course going for his Masters title needing 8 scores to complete the requirements. Well there was still some gas left in his tank as he ended up going...high IN TRIAL!!!! His score was a 92.5 out of 100.
