In case of tie scores for any prizes other than those listed for a single class, a run-off judge will be appointed. 4. In case of tie scores for a prize, an exhibitor who fails to have his dog compete in the run-off forfeits all rights to such prize. Owners and handlers are responsible for having their dog at ringside when the run-off is called. 5. Any exhibitor competing for a prize noted by an asterisk (*) in the premium list must register at the entry table prior to exhibiting in the class or classes. 6. Turn left, building is on the right. *From The East (Blairsville): After you pass Ingles, the light at the top of the hill, exit to the right to Windy Ridge Road. Turn left over bridge on Windy Ridge Road. Go through light, you are on East 2 nd street. First stop sign. Turn left on Jones Street. Right on Austin Street. Building and parking on left. *From The West (Chattanooga): I-75 north to Cleveland (exit 20). follow bypass to US 64, go to Ducktown, TN, then south on Hwy 68 to McCaysville, GA. Take Hwy 5 to Blue Ridge, GA. Cross Hwy 515. Turn left at 2 nd light onto Depot Street, then through 1 st light and go to the 2 nd stop sign. Turn left onto East 2 nd Street. Go to stop sign, turn right on Jones Street, then right onto Austin Street. Parking is on the left. Thank you for entering our Match. All of the Dog Show Rules and Obedience Regulations applying to the disqualification of dogs shall apply at Sanctioned Matches, except that a dog with a disqualifying condition or behavior shall not be disqualified, but shall simply be excused for the day. Bandages. No dog is to be judged if it is brought into the ring bandaged or taped anywhere (head, legs, body, or tail). In every instance a judge must immediately dismiss the dog from the ring. Under no circumstances should the judge agree to judge the dog if the tape or bandage is removed. Obedience Classes. The requirements for eligibility to enter the various Obedience Classes are the same as those stated in Chapters 3, 4, 5 of the Obedience Regulations, with the exception of dogs that have attained the CDX and UD Titles. No dog with the CDX Title may compete in any Regular Class at the Match except Utility. Such dogs may be entered and participate in the Open B Class, but may not compete for any awards in that class. No dog with the UD Title may compete in any Regular Class at the Match. Dogs with the UD Title may be entered and participate in the Open B or Utility Classes, but may not compete for any awards in these classes. No Entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event the dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by the action of the Event s Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or other acts beyond the control of the club it is impossible to open or complete the Conformation Match or Obedience Match or Rally Match, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made. No refund will be made for duplicate entries. Every effort to find duplicate entries will be made; however, after entries close, no refund will be made. Errors on Entry Blanks. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Each Owner and Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at a show is bound by the Certification and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form regardless of who may have completed and submitted the entry form As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media. The Match Will Be Open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dogs may arrive at any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges are not required to wait for dogs that are late. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be on leash or crated except when being judged. All persons attending this event hereby waive any claim for damages against Hiwassee River Valley Kennel Club, Inc. or its members in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation.
