4 ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE REFUNDED: In the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the show committee For duplicate entries If the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the club or show secretary Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. Event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all fees for the A.K.C. & payment of all fees to the A.K.C. as stipulated in AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Ch 11, Sec 2 The club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or any other cause, and no person shall have any claim or recourse against the club or any official thereof. There will be no drilling or intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. NO DOUBLE HANDLING will be permitted at this show. Individuals who attempt to double handle from outside the ring will be subject to action by the Show Committee. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. There is no provision for un-entered dogs at this show. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. The club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All trophies must be picked up at the show, none will be mailed. All awards will be made in the judging ring before the completion of judging, to the person exhibiting the dog and that person shall be considered the rightful winner of the award. The Show Secretary should be advised of any award discrepancies. A Judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table, or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Clumber Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets (Misc). At the discretion of the judge, the following breed may be judged on the table or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Cardigan Welsh Corgi. At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp, or on a table: Boykin Spaniels & Whippets. The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Basset Hounds, Bulldogs and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation dog shows and any AKC event where conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, Best in Show, Junior Showmanship, the 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and Best in Show competitions. Ramps can be used in emergency situation to judge any breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp breeds. ALL DOGS PRESENT MUST BE HELD ON LEASH OR CRATED EXCEPT WHEN BEING JUDGED. THE WELFARE OF CHILDREN IS ASSUMED TO BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CHILD S PARENT OR GUARDIAN. IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT ALL PARENTS AND GUARDIANS WILL EXERCISE CONTROL AND RESTRAINT OVER THEIR CHILDREN AT THIS SHOW. Our dry climate, coupled with the high altitude, can affect you greatly if you are unaware. Please use the following suggestions so you can enjoy your dogs, friends, and our shows to the fullest: Drink lots of water! Your body will dehydrate quickly, even though you may not notice your thirst until you are seriously dehydrated. Sodas, teas, juices, caffeinated drinks and alcoholic beverages are not as effective at rehydrating your body as water is. Wear sunscreen! Even if the day is cool and overcast, it's important to wear sunscreen. The worst sunburns can happen on cloudy, overcast days. Ultraviolet rays travel through clouds. Get plenty of rest. Bring your own bottled water. For you and your dogs. Did we mention you need to drink lots of water? Remember that your DOGS need fresh clean water at all times, as well and can also be affected by the change of altitude. Thank you for coming to our shows! Exhibitors will be subject to disciplinary action by the Skyline Brittany Club Show Committee for any reported damages or any conduct prejudicial to the sport! Hotel policies regarding dogs are subject to change. Please verify policy when making reservations. DO NOT bathe dogs in hotel rooms or use towels for grooming / clean-up purposes. Use heavy plastic under crates. ALL HOTELS REQUIRE that dogs be crated when owners are not in the room. Non-Refundable pet fees must be paid at check-in. The Show Site will be available to exhibitors from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, The site will again be available at 6:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, Dogs, crates & equipment must be removed from ringside immediately following Best In Show judging (within 15 minutes) on Sunday, March 13, Any equipment left in the building after BIS or BISS s will be removed and a $25.00 service fee will be assessed for return of the equipment. GRAND CHAMPION TITLE POINTS Effective May 12, 2010 AKC Grand Champion Title Points may be awarded to Best of Breed / Variety; Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed / Variety & SELECT DOG & SELECT BITCH See current edition of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows or contact the Show Secretary for additional information on the Grand Champion Title Requirements AWARD(S) OF MERIT: The Judge may consider all Brittany s participating in the Best of Breed competition for an Award of Merit Placement (except for those awarded Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch). The number of Awards of Merit presented shall be at the discretion of the Judge. BEST PUPPY IN REGULAR CLASSES NON-REGULAR CLASSES / Multiple Dog Entries STUD DOG CLASS Entry Fee: $17.00 for stud dogs and at least two, but not more than four, of their get. Stud dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. Owner of the stud dog need not necessarily be the owner of the get. Judging to be on the merits of the get. Get must be entered in another class in this show. BROOD BITCH CLASS. Entry Fee: $17.00 same as for the stud dog except substitute brood bitch for stud dog and produce for get. NOTE: Chapter 11, Section 8, AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that castrated males may be entered as Stud Dog and spayed females may be entered as Brood Bitch. NOTE: As the judge s decision in Stud Dog & Brood Bitch Classes is based upon the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won in these classes. for 16 5

All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. The winner of a third first place in each Novice Class shall automatically become eligible to enter the corresponding Open Class at the show, provided the win is the third first place with competition and further provided there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in that Open Class. Eligibility of Dog: Each dog entered in a regular Junior Showmanship Class must be of a breed eligible to compete in the conformation classes (including Miscellaneous Classes) at the event. Dogs may be PAL/ILP, Full-, or Limited-Registered to compete in Junior Showmanship Classes, additionally, spayed and neutered specimens are eligible for competition. Breeds excluded from competition at the event are not eligible. The dog must be entered in one of the classes associated with the event or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. An eligible dog other than the one entered may be substituted. A Junior is limited to one substitution at a dog show. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. The junior must have the AKC number of the substitute dog. Substitutions must be made with the Superintendent or Show Secretary at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any Junior Showmanship class at the show and may require payment of an additional entry fee.
