5 SPECIAL AWARDS *************************************************************************** Second Annual Helen Miller-Fisher Memorial Best of Breed Award The German Shepherd Dog Club of Minneapolis Saint Paul is initiating a Special Annual Award in recognition of Helen Fisher s many contributions to the sport and breed. On Sunday, June 21 st, 2015, the GSDC MSP BEST OF BREED winner will receive a Rosette and a Special placque honoring the win. **************************************************************************** Sixth Annual Joan Johnson Memorial Best Puppy Award The GSDC MSP BEST PUPPY winner on Saturday, June 25, 2016, will receive a shadow box containing a Special Rosette and a complimentary photograph of the win, and will have his/her name engraved the perpetual Joan Johnson Memorial Trophy Award in recognition of Joan Johnson s contributions to the sport and the special place she had in her heart for puppies. ******************************************************************** TROPHIES & PRIZES Bronze medallions will be offered by the German Shepherd Dog Club of America for Best of Breed (AM and PM) and Highest Combined Score in Open B and Utility on Saturday, June 25 th and Sunday, June 26 th. Mail ads to: Roberta Moore, 6755 East River Road, Fridley, MN ******************************************************************** Sanctioned Four-to-Six Month (Beginner Puppy) Competition 2016 is the third year the German Shepherd Dog Club of Minneapolis & St. Paul will be offering a 4-6 Month Puppy Competition. This should be a great event for everyone whether you re a hard-core dog show goer or just a casual spectator. Enter your puppy or just come to see the other puppies-- you might even get a kiss or two. Classifications The Four-to-Six Month Puppy competition shall be for dogs that are four months of age and over but under six months on the day of the event and the winner will be Best Four-to-Six Month Puppy in Specialty Show. Entry and Eligibility Entry and eligibility requirements include: * The Four-to-Six Month Puppy event may be offered at licensed or member dog shows at the option of the show giving club. * Four-to-Six Month Puppy Competition must be listed in the premium list, entry form and judging schedule, if offered. *AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. * A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. *All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. * Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler. ******************************************************************** Page 5

6 INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTRY SUBMISSION AND PAYMENT Use the OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM in the Premium List to make your class selections and calculate your entry fees for each dog. Use one entry blank per dog if information is exactly the same for each event each show. You should use a SEPARATE entry blank if you are entering your dog in different class in different shows/days. Carefully circle the event # and class for each show in which you wish to enter your dog, paying close attention to the event # of each class entered. In calculating your fees, please note that reduced second entry fees only apply if the dog is entered in more than one class with the same event #. Total the entry fees for all events and all dogs and indicate on the entry form whether you are paying by check or credit card using our website with Paypal and .
