1 SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES Judge: Ms. Holley Grooms PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES Puppy sweepstakes is open to any Border Collie entered in one of the regular classes and whose age is no less than six (6) months and not yet eighteen (18) months on the day of the show. Dogs must be handled by an owner, co-owner, or member of an owner or co-owner s immediate family. The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches: Puppy, 6 9: at least 6 months but less than 9 months of age Puppy, 9-12: at least 9 months but less than 12 months of age Puppy, 12-18: at least 12 months but less than 18 months of age Judging and Awards Each age class will be judged to fourth place. Placements will be awarded a prize ribbon in addition to any stake as described below. First place in each class will be judged for Best in Sweepstakes and Runner-up to Best in Sweepstakes. Division of Stake: The stake will consist of the total of all entry fees in the Sweepstakes, less 2.5% to help defray expenses of the club in conjunction with the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes will be divided as follows: 25% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 75% will be divided as follows: --First place in each class will receive $6 per entry in that class. --Best in Sweepstakes will receive 70% of $5 times total entries in Sweepstakes --Runner-up to Best in Sweepstakes will receive 30% of $5 times total entries in Sweepstakes All monies paid into the Stake are non-refundable with the following exceptions: overpayment of entry fee or failure of the Club to hold the Sweepstakes. Should it be found that an ineligible dog has received an award in the Sweepstakes, the person to whom such award was presented will be required to make restitution to the Club and such award will be deemed to have been won by the dog judged second to the dog declared ineligible.
