6 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS - DOGS NEED TO BE PRESENT ONLY for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the Clubs nor Show Secretaries will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying the exhibitors or their agents of class being judged. All dogs present must be held on leash o confined to their crates. - JUDGES NEED NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring. - THE CLUB AND ITS SHOW SECRETARY ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and its Show Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner s agent entering a dog twice or in a class for which the dog is ineligible to compete. - ENTRY FEES WILL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or a judge; or barred from competition due to their violation of any rules or regulations set forth by the show-giving clubs. (Exception: obedience or rally / bitches in season - request for refund (excluding recording and event fees) must be accompanied by a signed letter from veterinarian so stating.) ADDITIONALLY No fees will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or Show Secretary. - NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures. Changes, additions, or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by telegram prior to close of entries. Entries received by telephone are not acceptable. Errors on Entry Blanks Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. No practicing in any ring prior TO or BETWEEN shows/trials. - THE SHOW-GIVING CLUB, the Show Secretaries, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and, further, no responsibility for injury to children. ADDITIONALLY the show-giving club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness, or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Show Giving-Club or any official thereof. - A recording fee of 50 cents and event fee $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. This recording fee is to be collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class, the Recording Fee is to be collected on the first entry only (AKC Rule, Chapter 15, Section 2). - NO SMOKING is allowed in the GSDCW Clubhouse. - ALL DOGS TO BE EXERCISED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. - ALL video taping during the show requires permission from the show-giving club. - ALL prizes must be claimed the day of the show--none will be mailed. - NO SPACE PROVIDED FOR UNENTERED DOGS. 6

7 Class Information 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition Saturday Prior to A.M. Show Judge: Robert Drescher Sunday Prior to A.M. Show Judge: Ileana Nogueras Class 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy The 4-6 Month Puppy Competition shall be for dogs that are four months of age and over but under six months on the day of the event. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. Professional Handlers are not permitted to exhibit in this class. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. (Professional Handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves a handling dogs for pay.) Judging > Class will not be divided by sex. > Individuals that have an AKC conformation judge s number are the required judges for the Four-to- Six Month Puppy competition. Judges assigned regular classes may not judge the Four-to-Six Month Puppy competition if it interferes or delays the judging of regular classes, Groups or Best in Show. The judging conflict requirements of 30 days and 200 mile between assignments will not apply to the Four-to-Six Month Puppy competition. A change in the listed judge due to an overload will not result in a return in the entry fee. > Judges will be credited with an enriching component for breeds judged in the 4-to-6 Month Puppy competition. > Judges of this competition may also exhibit on the day(s) they judge. > Exhibitors should open their dog s mouth for examination. If the judge finds it necessary to open the mouth they should disinfect their hands prior to examining other dogs. Judges will comply with the Rules, Policies and Guidelines for Conformation Judges except the speed of judging may be reduced to 20 dogs an hour. > Male puppies without 2 fully descended testicles need not be disqualified or excused but the judge s book must describe the condition and Certificate of Merit points must be withheld. > Dogs with breed standard disqualifications should not be excused but may not receive placements. However, dogs with age related disqualifications such as color (as related to age), height, teeth etc. are permitted to receive awards in the 4-to-6 Month Puppy classes. > Dogs must be excused for attacking a person or other dogs. > No dog is to be judged if it is brought into the ring bandaged, taped, glued or stitched anywhere including ears or tail. These dogs must be excused from judging but, at the judge s discretion, may return to be judged after the tape or bandage is removed. 7

15 German Shepherd Dog Club Wisconsin, Inc. Guidelines for Vendor and RV Overnight Parking A limited number of self-contained RVs and vendors will be granted permission to remain on the grounds of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin, Inc. (GSDCW) subject to space available and in accordance with the following guidelines. 1. Fee for overnight parking will be $25 for all or any part of the weekend. 2. A liability waiver (below) must be signed at the time approval is granted. 3. Parking will be permitted in indicated areas only. Vendors may set up booths on designated grass area. 4. All buildings will be locked overnight. 5. The front gate will be locked overnight (10:00pm - 6:00am). 6. No dogs allowed on the show/trial field. 7. No loose dogs. 8. Owners/handlers will clean up after their own dogs. 9. There will be no campfires allowed.
