3 President s Message Thank you for entering the 2018 Chinese Crested Club Of BC specialty show. I am excited and happy to see such a good entry. I can t wait to see the lovely line up of Cresteds in the ring and their owners. I would like to see this club continue to promote and support our wonderful breed. Peter Primrose is an All Breeds Dog Judge and an accredited examiner. Our Samoyeds & Lhasa Apso's are more than show dogs, they are part of our family and will always remain so.

5 PRIZE LIST Trophies and/or Rosettes and/or prizes will be offered for the following: Best in Specialty Best of Opposite Sex Best of Winners Select Male/Female Best Puppy Winners Male/Female Rosettes only for the following: Reserve Winners Male/Female Best Veteran Award of Merit The person handling the dog in the ring shall be recognized as the Agent for the owner of the dog. Delivery in the ring of any prizes won shall constitute full delivery of the prize to the rightful owner. No prizes will be mailed. JUNIOR HANDLING Sunday June 17 th, 2018 following the Conformation Classes Judge: Mel Cadieux Entries will be accepted at the show secretary s desk up to one hour prior. N/C The following classes will be provided for conformation: Pee Wee (non-competitive) - 4 to 6 years Junior Novice - 7 to 10 years Junior Open - 7 to 10 years Intermediate Novice - 11 to 14 years Intermediate Open - 11 to 14 years Senior Novice - 15 to 18 years Senior Open - 15 to 18 years Competition is open to all Junior Handlers between the ages of 4 and up to 18 years of age (of the competition year). Pee Wees do not compete for best overall. Dogs handled by the juniors must be entered in a Regular Conformation class or in Exhibition Only at this event. Dogs do not need to be owned by the junior. Pee Wees - participation ribbon and suitable prize Best Overall Handler - rosette 1 st in each class - rosette Please note that effective January 1, 2016, in accordance with Section of the Junior Handling Rules & Regulations, Junior Handlers will be required to apply to CKC Head Office for a Junior Handling Number. Section Junior Handler with the exception of Pee Wees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked.

The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points to be allocated to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: (*Includes the dog awarded Winners.) Dogs Competing* to 5 6 to 9 10 to or more Points Allocated* To determine the number of championship points earned by a dog awarded Winners, total all the dogs in competition which the dog defeated, directly or indirectly, for the highest of the following official breed awards: Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex and then consult the schedule set forth above. A dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. Further section {C} has been added and states the dog must: have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed level or group level. The system provides for additional points if a dog awarded winners also places in the Group as listed here under. In no case may a dog earn more than five (5) points at a single show. To earn a Canadian Championship, a dog must earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges; and be individually registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, or have a CKC Event Registration Number (ERN).
