4 ENTRY FEES When a dog is entered in more than one class, the highest priced class is considered the First Entry. (Entry fees include: a $3.00 AKC Event Fee on each entry and a 50 cent AKC recording fee on the first entry.) 6 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS 1. Entries must reach the Event Secretary, M.L. (Peggy) Butler, The Farm Road, Wildomar, CA 92595, by 5:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, Fees should accompany entries. The Club and the Event Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. The Club and the Event Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner s agent entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice. 2. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Event Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. 3. Exhibitors confirmations and judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a reasonable time prior to the show, notify the Event Secretary. Confirmations returned by the Post Office marked Undeliverable will be held at the Event Secretary s office. PLEASE BRING YOUR CONFIRMATIONS TO THE SHOW. 4. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly in order that judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owner of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are respons-ible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor of any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, it s owner or handler, when the dog s presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the dog. There is no rule of these clubs nor the American Kennel Club that requires a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring his dog into the ring. Show hours 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. 5. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging ring before the completion of the breed and the superintendents office advised at once, in the event of any discrepancy. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. 6. Exhibitors are admonished to make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany the premium list. Rule books may be obtained from the A.K.C., 5580 Centerview Dr. Suite 200, Raleigh, NC The Club, the Event Secretary or the members or employees will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes and in add-ition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an exhibitor/owner or handler. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler/agent during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 8. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Event Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fees for duplicate entry. 9. The San Bernardino - Riverside Poodle Club, may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club or any official thereof. 10.If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 11.Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. 12.Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class after the Closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from Novice Class tot he Open Class provided that this transfer ismade by the Show Secretary at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show. 13.No practicing allowed in rings at any time. 14.Dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Event Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest Confirmation judging at the show. 15. Individual canopies/pop-ups may not block the ingress or egress to tented grooming areas. 16. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for the actions of their children. An unloading area will be provided. Please follow the instructions of parking attendants. Dayof-Show parking will be $10.00 per space. Vehicles requiring more than one space (motor homes, etc.) will be parked in the day-of-show overflow parking lot and will be charged $10.00 per space used. No overnight parking will be allowed in the day of show parking lots. Anyone not following KCPS rules risks having his/her vehicle towed at owners expense. No abusive behavior will be tolerated. KCPS and Empire Polo Club assume no responsibility for fire, theft or damage to vehicles or cargo, whether legally or illegally parked. Overnight parking is not permitted on the streets in Indio. Valet parking will be available. ELECTRICAL POWER INFORMATION: POWER WILL BE AVAILABLE IN OVERNIGHT PARKING AREAS ONLY. The cost is $50.00 (for 30 amps) per night 2-night minimum. Requests for power not made in advance, will be $10.00 more (cash), per night. Please make your check payable to Event Power Solutions, but mail it to Ron Mattson. You may use your own generator if you so choose. NOTE: Overnight Parking will be limited to 400 reservations. Assignments to parking lots will be made in the order that reservations are received, and NO ELECTRICAL POWER REFUNDS WILL BE MADE. IF YOU ARRIVE BEFORE 5 PM ON CHECK-IN DAY AND PLUG INTO POWER, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA DAY OF POWER USAGE, PER EVENT POWER SOLUTIONS. 8 OVERNIGHT PARKING INFORMATION There are three overnight parking areas: two are adjacent to the show area and one is some distance away. Most of the parking is on decomposed granite. One limited area is on grass. Spaces assigned in order received. Balance will be parked in decomposed granite arena. Vehicles parked on grass will be required to have power, as no generators are allowed on the grass, per Empire Polo Club. No dumping of gray water or sewage is allowed. There will be a $25.00 charge for any returned checks. Please note the following parking requirements/restrictions: 1. Those wishing to park together must arrive together. 2. Space changing will not be permitted. All vehicles must park as directed by parking personnel. 3. Confirmation of your reservation will be sent if you enclose a stamped, selfaddressed envelope. 4. All personal generators must be turned off between 11 pm and 6 am daily. 5. All tag vehicles will be required to purchase a tag vehicle pass ($20.00 for the weekend). 6. Tag vehicles must fit into assigned space (not in aisle), or be moved to day-of-show parking area. 7. Any motor home over 40 long must have two spaces. 8. Any truck & trailer over 40 must have two spaces, or unhook; note on form. 9. All parking spaces are 22 wide by 35 long; over 35 will be parked in designated rows. 10. No foul or abusive language will be tolerated; anyone not following parking rules will be asked to leave, and no refunds will be given. 11. No parking fee refunds will be made after close of entries.
