2 The Combined Doe & Junior Doe shows are sanctioned separately. Show Rules and Regulations The American Dairy Goat Association sanctions these shows for Combined Jr./Sr. Doe and Junior Doe. ADGA Rules Shall Govern. Only ADGA, AGS, and CGS registered, recorded, or applied for animals shall be shown. The Show Committee reserves the right to change the order of the show and/or change rules as they see fit. ENTRY FEES: LATE ENTRIES Entry fees are as follows for each 3-Ring Show (Combined Doe, Junior Doe) Postmarked on or before May 30, $12.00 per entry (covers all three rings) Postmarked on or after May 31, 2019 and day of show -$20.00 per entry ENTRY FEES MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES. ALL entry forms MUST be signed by the exhibitor. Entries received without payment will be considered late and late entry fee will apply. "NO REFUNDS-NO EXCEPTIONS''. A maximum of 5 substitutions will be allowed at check in. ARRIVAL AND VET CHECK: Early arrival will begin Friday, June 7, 2019 at 5 PM until 9 PM. Please notify Shannon Stevens if you plan on arriving Friday. Animals must be checked by event staff prior to unloading. Please note: if you are bringing a RV Camper, a fee will be charged and Shannon must be notified IN ADVANCE Regular arrival for Saturday, June 8, 2019 will be from 6:00 AM-8:15 AM. The show will start promptly with Combined Doe Show at 8:30 AM. Animals must be checked by event staff prior to unloading. Goats with horns may not be shown. Only the original registration for animals six months of age or older will be accepted. A stamped duplicate for an animal less than six months of age is permissible. Papers must be show to the Entry Clerk prior to the start of the show. All animals must be checked in by 8:15 a.m. The show will start at 8:30 a.m. sharp. The base date for computing ages of animals is June 8, Entries must be postmarked or ed by May 30, 2019 or they will be considered day of show entries. All exhibitors are personally responsible for the total cleanup of the pens and area they use before they leave the fairgrounds. All manure is to be removed from barn to designated area. Any exhibitor or family member not behaving in an honorable manner will be asked to leave the show and will forfeit their right to show at the present show and all future shows sponsored by the NYSDGBA and CNYDGS. Handlers should wear whites while in the show ring in accordance with ADGA guidelines. If additional clothing is needed due to cool temperatures, please be sure to wear your white shirt/sweatshirt as the outer layer. Flip flop or other open toe shoes are not appropriate attire while in

3 the show ring. Dogs are not allowed at the show. The show chairperson will designate where to dump milk at check-in. No awards will be given to any animal in any class, if in the opinion of the judge said animal does not meet breed standards. Over-uddering of dairy goats is frowned upon. The judge shall have the authority to excuse animals from the ring for removal of excess milk. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to properly feed, water, milk, and care for their animals. Failure to do so will result in exhibitor's immediate expulsion from the premises. Please make sure your animals are correctly tattooed. Failure to do so makes your dairy goat ineligible to receive credit for their win. The NYSDGBA/CNYDGS and the NYS Fairgrounds and any members or affiliates of these groups cannot be held responsible for all or any loss, damage, injury, or accident to any person, animal, vehicle, or property while on the fairgrounds or on route to the fairgrounds. All animals are entered at the sole risk of the exhibitor or owner. There will be a food booth open on show day on the Fairgrounds. All donations to our raffle table will be gratefully accepted. Please support our show by participating in the raffle. There is absolutely no smoking inside any building or in the show ring while on the NY State Fairgrounds. To keep the show progressing in a timely manner, the order of the show is subject to change. Exhibitors with more than one breed need to be prepared to have additional handlers so that classes are not delayed. RINGS Each breed will show in one ring for all shows; judges and secretaries will move. 1. The Combined Doe breed sanctions are: A= Alpine, L=Lamancha, S= Saanens, N= Nubian, Nd= Nigerian Dwarf, T= Toggenburg, O= Oberhasli, Sa= Sable, RG = 2. The Junior Doe breed sanctions are: A= Alpine, Nd= Nigerian Dwarf, N= Nubian, O= Oberhasli, S= Saanens, T= Toggenburg, AOP= All Other Purebred (L=Lamancha, Sa= Sable) RG = PRE-ENTRIES STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!

Vendors must supply their own tables and marketing materials. Space is free of charge, with participation in the show and/or with sale pens, a donation to the raffle table would be appreciate DIRECTIONS TO FAIRGROUNDS: The Empire Expo Center, home of the New York State Fair, is immediately adjacent to Route 690 just West of Syracuse. It is easily accessible from the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90) exits 39 from the West and 34A from the East, and from Route 81, North and South. Just follow the signs to the Fairgrounds. From Buffalo Area Take the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90) East to Exit 39, to Rt. 690 East. From Albany or Utica Area Take the New York State Thruway (Rt. 90) West to Exit 34A, to Rt.481 South, to Rt. 690 West. From North or South Take Interstate 81 into Syracuse, to Rt. 690 West. Enter fairgrounds at Gate 2. Once inside fairgrounds; follow street signs to goat barn.
