CKCSC USA National Specialty 10/10/15, Sacramento, CA Judge: Veronica Hull (Telvara) I have to say that the organisation of this show in Sacramento California was second to none. Judi Geldermann, Kathy Tegg, and the entire Board did a superb job, as did my Ring Stewarding team lead by the ever youthful Charlie Weidig, the efficient Table Steward Ginger Harrison, and our announcer David Frederick who kept the ball steadily rolling in the right direction. The goodie bags were full of treats for both dogs and humans, but perhaps the biggest treat of all was the wonderful atmosphere and global camaraderie between exhibiters and Cavalier enthusiasts who had travelled from as far as Australia, from neighbouring Canada, from Germany, and the UK, all to be part of this very special occasion. It was so obvious to see that a great time was had by all, and as for the actual Cavaliers, well, what can I say, apart from the fact I saw some of the best exhibits I have ever had the pleasure of judging... So THANK YOU for giving me the honour of judging 'The National', THANK YOU for bringing your beautiful dogs for assessment, and THANK YOU to everyone who made this great event happen. You all did a wonderful job and the memories made will be everlasting. Junior Puppy Dog (2) 1. Mimric America Heartthrob (Barton/Perkins) These two quality puppies were at the same stage of development, but I preferred the rich colouring, head and expression of the winner. He moved with a steady flowing gait, showing with confidence. 2. Briarcrest Beyond Words (Van Luchene) This is a very nice little Blenheim who looked right for his age. He was well schooled and put in a good performance. His topline and tail carriage needs to level off and his movement needs to settle, but hopefully these issues will improve as he matures. Two promising babies. Senior Puppy Dog (8) 1. Jadestone Legend Has It (Peek) I loved the overall quality of this beautifully presented puppy. His head is masculine, and so appealing with large dark eyes and just the right amount of cushioning and fill. He has a wealth of well marked, silky coat, and moved with drive keeping a good outline. His correctly set on tail was constantly wagging happily, and I predict this outstanding boy is one to watch out for in his future show career. Best Puppy Dog, Best Puppy in Show 2. Rockcreek Mark Me First at Hiflt (Parris/Steagall) Although a different type from the class winner this 11 month old shows much promise. He has good angles, a level topline with a short firm loin, and the makings of a nice textured coat. He carries himself with assurance, and when settled he moved well. 3. Beckenhall Shirmont He s The Ticket (Henry) With more confidence this sweet headed puppy could do so much better. The make and shape are there, he moves soundly, and has a well marked coat, but he needs more self confidence to bring out his best. 4. Truelegance Toblerone (Cromer) Another well marked Blenheim who looked quite immature for his age. He has a pleasing head, a lovely neck, and is nicely balanced. At this point in time his rear looks a little straight, but with maturity I would expect this to improve as he settles and drops into his frame. Graduate Puppy Dog (4) 1. Tudorr Checkmate (Mixon/Cline) This is a slightly larger Cavalier with substantial bone and a full very masculine head. What coat he has is well marked and of good texture, but he was a little unsettled on the move. With more practice I m sure this will improve, but he needs to watch that tail carriage which today was a little higher than the Breed Standard requires. 2. Mayfield Me and Bobby McGee (Lunbeck) Such a happy young Tri who had a good time in the ring. He is slightly built, with moderate bone, but has rather restricted movement. I would like to see better front and rear angles which would allow more reach and drive. The coat he has is in good condition and was well presented. 3. Hiddencreek One Shot Of Patron (Weinstein/Green) This sweet headed youngster looks attractive when standing and has good proportions, but he lacks ring presence and angles, tending to tuck himself up when moving. I hope his confidence grows allowing him to make a more positive impact when in the ring. 4. Bonitos Campaneros Watch Me (Mitchell) Nicely marked Blenheim with good round sturdy bone. He has lovely eyes and I liked his ample neck flowing into a level topline. He looked impressive when stacked, but let himself down on the move today and carried his tail way too high. Novice Dog (1) 1. Pascavale Bijou (Cline) This boy is so glamorous with his well marked coat beautifully prepared, and his long full ears framing his face. He has an attractive head, with dark eyes, although the white of eye he displays does slightly spoil his expression. He moved at a steady pace keeping a good outline, and showed happily throughout. Bred By Exhibitor Dog (5) 1. Ch Nightingale The Eyes Have It, JW (Mulligan/Duke) I really liked this showy Blenheim, and he looked impressive on the move. His front and rear angles are good and he has a firm topline and loin. His head is lovely, with large, kind expressive eyes, but he needs his foot feathering to return which will complete the picture. 2. Ch Dreamvale Motley Crue, JW (Sage/Colbert) A substantial fully mature male shown in good

coat. He has a beautiful head with dense pigment and moved nicely in both directions. He really gave the class winner a run for his money, but I marginally preferred the body shape, length of leg to length of back ratio, of number 1. This is undeniably a very handsome Cavalier. 3. Ch Denham Superstorm, JW (Maddox) This is a very nice quality Ruby boy who gave a good account of himself today. His head is attractive with dark nose pigment, and he looked impressive going round in side profile. He had enough body coat covering his ample frame, and his front is very true, but today he was not quite as positive in rear movement. He really fills the eye. Best Ruby in Show 4. Ch Hiddencreek Hugo Boss, JW (Green) A nice quality male who looked rather elongated compared to those placed higher in this class, and his blanket heavy markings don t help. He has good head qualities, with a pleasing expression, and is a sensible size, but wasn t focused on showing today. Junior America Bred Dog (5) 1. Foxcreek Hear Me Roar (Johnson) I found this beautifully presented Blenheim very pleasing to the eye, and he really looked the part. His well marked coat was in pristine condition and he put in a very good performance. His breed type appeals, and he moved well from good strong quarters. Overall this is a lovely Cavalier who will surely have his day. 2. Almeara Visionnaire (Utych/Whitmire) This well marked Blenheim over stretched consistently during the class which completely spoiled his outline. On the move it was obvious his structure is good, so this is a re-training, rather than a conformation issue. His head is appealing, but his tail seemed to have a life of its own. 3. Harrington Haute Stuff (Marina-Tompkins/Gonyo) Very nicely marked, short coupled Blenheim boy who was well handled and nicely presented, although he did look a little immature in this company. His moderate head and pretty eyes meet the Standard, but his expression could be a little softer. 4. Del Sol One More Look at Quail Run (Kornhi/Wells) I feel this neatly shaped youngster has so much more to give. His front assembly and hind quarters are good, but he didn t use them to advantage today. I m sure when he gets his act together he will place much higher than he achieved at this event. American Bred Dog (6) 1. Mimric Moves Like Jagger, JW (Painter/Hodges) Smart little dog who is structurally sound, and well put together which shows in his powerful gait. I found his head very pleasing, with dense black nose leather, pretty eyes, and a kindly but masculine expression. He is not helped by his heavy blanket markings, but his good conformation cannot be overlooked. 2. Del Sol One More Night (McHenry) Quite a handful for his owner, but what a happy showdog this is. He was presented in lovely condition and moved with drive from his well angulated quarters. His head is attractive with lovely eyes, and the only real negative that held him back in this quality entry was his high tail carriage. 3. Shirmont Caddo Balliol, JW (Henry/Dodson) Medium sized 18 month old who s well marked coat was beautifully presented. He showed well but on table examination he felt lacking in substance. His head is fairly strong, but in body he still has some maturing to do. 4. Estancia Lord Stuart (Swearengin) This is a stocky, well boned boy with a full masculine head. He was nicely presented but on the move was badly let down by his tail carriage which completely ruined his profile. 2 nd Generation American Bred Dog (1) 1. Pensrick House of Stewart (Liebeler/Fellows) Sweet headed male who I found rather endearing. His facial features meet the Breed Standard, with good pigment, dark eyes and well set ears. His Blenheim coat has nicely broken markings and was presented in lovely condition. His shoulder placement is rather upright, although he moved steadily and showed well. Health & Conformation Dog (2) 1. Ch Grantilley Goodwood at Truelegance (Cromer) This was a well groomed, longer cast 7 1/2 year old who used his length to his advantage on the move. Despite looking a little heavy he covered the ground with reach, drive and precision. His head is so typical of his breeding, and he was a pleasure to judge. 2. Ch Benchmark Up In The Air of Onthemark (Chan/Mitchell) Another lovely Blenheim who gave a spirited performance, and it was very clear that both these older boys love to show. His head is lovely with a kindly expression, but today he had to settle with a 2 nd placing to a male that could out move many Cavaliers half his age. Special Limit Blenheim Dog (13) 1. Clarmarian Classic By Design (Young-May) I loved the make and shape of this glamorous male. He cuts a striking picture both on the stand and when moving. His head is both correct, and appealing, with lovely eyes and good pigment. His balance is what the Breed Standard asks for, with just the right amount of leg to length of back ratio, and he uses his well angulated front and rear to great advantage when on the move, and carries his tail correctly at all times. Shown in fabulous coat and condition this fully mature Cavalier was Reserve Winners Dog, Best Bred By Exhibiter Dog. 2. Aranel Colby (Wells/Aldous/Smith) What a quality class this was. The head and breed type of this 4 1/2 year old is outstanding. He was shown in great condition and moved well. The deciding factor for me was made on showmanship, and today this young man was so focused on his handler that he forgot to perform. This is a beautiful Cavalier who will surely have his day. 2 nd Award Of Merit 3. Creekside Watch Out For Me (Mathies) Pretty headed youngster with a well marked full flowing coat which was perfectly presented. I would like to see better angulation front and rear, and today he moved close behind. His lovely topline held firm both

when standing and on the move, but his tail fault really spoilt his profile. 4. Tassajara Hugh Jackman (Seidman/Hughes/Berkau) I really liked the breed type of this smaller framed dog. His heavily marked coat was well presented, and I loved his attitude. He moved rather close in the rear, but looked very smart in side profile. Such a happy little showdog. Special Tricolor Dog (2) 1. Pascavale Dodger (Jacks) Lovely little 18 month old male shown in shining coat condition. He looked good on the move, and used his angles well keeping a nice steady topline and proud head carriage. Loved his head... and had no hesitation in awarding him Best Tricolor Dog 2. Rosehill Recalculating (Sage/Warshaw) This well bodied Tri has a similarly marked coat to the winner, and his generous head has a pleasing expression. He moved wide toward me and his hind quarters are a little straight. I preferred the free flowing movement of 1 st in the class. Special Limit Ruby Dog (4) 1. Darane Hellboy, JW (Kates) Richly coloured Ruby shown in beautiful coat and condition. I liked his size and he looks good in outline when moving, covering the ground with an easy gait. His head is full, with a rather short, cushioned muzzle. I loved his showmanship and style. 2. Robin s Nest Deuces Are Wild (Prodanovich) Not the coat quantity or condition of the class winner, but he s well bodied up with a good rib and strong firm loin. He has strong dark pigment throughout, but was out moved by the winner today. 3. Rocky Rose Sweet Dreams Filigrees Won The Relay (Miller/Fredrickson/Brauner) This boy has a rich colour coat although he needs more of it. His head is masculine and pleasing, and his front angulation is good with well tucked in elbows. His back legs lack the same degree of angles so he dips behind the withers and rises over the loin which really spoils his outline. 4. Brookhaven Rudy At Waypoint (Jaski) Another with a lovely deep Ruby coloured jacket that could have been better presented. He has a sweet head with lovely eyes and strong pigment, but he really let himself down on the move today which was a shame. Special Limit Black & Tan Dog (3) 1. Blue Moon Cavaliers Cornelius (Legerratta/Gray) There wasn t much between 1 st and 2 nd in this class. I marginally preferred the balance of leg to length of back with this male, and he kept a firm level topline at all times. He moved fairly well. 2. Nottinghill Mugs (Beebower) Another good topline here, shown in nice coat quality which had been well prepared. He also moved quite well and showed happily. 3. Robin s Nest November Rain (Prodanovich) This boy was well bodied up but lacked coat condition, and seemed to be distracted. He moved rather erratically with a high tail carriage, and lost his outline. Open Dog (7) 1. Ch You re My Sunshine Vom Kaninchengarten, JW (Hansen) Loved the quality and size of this well marked Blenheim youngster. His front and rear are well angulated, and he is so balanced with every part flowing seamlessly into the next. His head is in no way extreme, and fits nicely into the Standard very well. With more settled movement and showmanship he would have been hard to beat. 1 st Award Of Merit 2. Ch/EngCh Pascavale Jacob (Cline) Well presented, heavily marked Blenheim who ticks many boxes. I like his size and balance, and he handled well on the table. His head is a little too extreme for me, but his pigment, eye size and colour are all good. On the move he keeps a good profile, and has a neat front action. 3. Ch Miletree Joshua at Shirmont (Henry) This is a really handsome dog shown in full coat which is well marked, and of the correct texture. His head is classic, with kind expressive eyes, and he moved steadily. It s such a shame he wasn t happier to be in the ring. 4. Ch Turretbank Magic Spell (Green/Sloan) Beautifully headed male with bright clear tans all in the right places. His raven black coat is glossy and well presented, and his topline is good, but he is longer in back than those placed higher in the class and this wasn t the shape I was looking for. Best Black & Tan Dog Senior Open Dog (1) 1. Ch Orchardhill Shirmont Back Talk, JW (Henry/Jones/Scott) This stunning Senior was probably the biggest surprise during my judging career which spans well over 30 years. I had judged this beautiful boy as a youngster, but he has aged like a good wine, losing none of his many conformation qualities or ring presence, whilst improving in head with a softening of his expression. Today, at almost 9 years of age, he had a wealth of well marked silky textured coat, and used his faultless structure to move effortlessly with reach, drive and purpose. His naturally proud head carriage shows off his elegant neck, and his well laid back shoulders flow into a firm level topline with a perfectly set-on and carried tail. He showed non-stop, and I could find nothing in this excellent entry to equal his overall quality. I had no hesitation in awarding him Winners Dog, Best in Show, Best Blenheim in Show, Best American Bred in Show. Junior Puppy Bitch (3) 1. Brookhaven Simply Southern At Beariver (Toepfer/Martz) Pretty little 6 month old with large dark eyes and good fill to her muzzle. She s well marked, has nice substance with moderate bone, and her quarters both front and rear have good angulation. Her tail needs to settle, but she moved steadily and showed with confidence. Best Junior Puppy 2. Lareina Luz De Luna (Espinosa) Well marked Tri who needs some ring training. She s a nice size and well bodied for a 6 month old, but a little over enthusiastic when on the move and

roached every time her handler slowed her down. Preferred the head type and settled movement of the class winner. 3. Kolaci Sweet Starburst (Legerretta/Gray) Very lightly marked Blenheim who has a good level topline but was longer cast than both 1 st & 2 nd in this class. Her head will benefit from more fill and cushioning, but she has good nose pigment and dark eyes which I would prefer to be larger. Senior Puppy Bitch (4) 1. Nightingale Sloe Gin Fizz at Hollytree (Seymour) Loved the soundness, substance and overall quality of this youngster. Her movement was faultless thanks to her well angulated front and hind quarters. Her nicely marked coat and pretty head with large dark eyes all pleased, as did her showy carefree attitude. Best Puppy Bitch 2. Rockcreek Cowgirls Don t Cry (Steagall) Such a glamorous little lady with a long flowing well marked coat that was perfectly presented. Her head type is attractive and topline faultless, making a pretty picture in side profile. Her hind quarters are sound, but coming toward me she was not moving at all well in front which was a shame, and cost her a higher placing. 3. Alderglen Siren Song (Thompson) Very appealing head on this little Blenheim. Her eyes are large round and dark, plus she has good fill to her muzzle. She needs to spring her rib and broaden out all through as she s still narrow which made her look quite immature beside those placed higher in the class. She has a pretty coat and moved with a steady gait. 4. Benchmark Call Me Maybe (Hoorman) A longer cast Blenheim who needs to body up and spring her ribs. She has a very prettily patterned coat, but I would prefer more layback of shoulder and better front angles. Her topline was firm and her hind quarters well developed and sound, but her front movement let her down today. Graduate Puppy Bitch (2) 1. Bentwood Forestcreek Hope (Cline/Harrison) I loved the head type here, she s very feminine with the prettiest eyes and good ear set. Her quality coat was beautifully presented and her sweet temperament shone through. She s a touch longer cast, but her topline is good in side profile, and her front action neat and correct, but her hind quarters are very close which pegged her back from being considered for a higher award. 2. Alderglen Girl Power (Thompson) This little one needs more fill and cushioning to her muzzle because at the moment she looks rather long in foreface. Her eyes are pretty and nose leather black, but her expression needs to soften. She has a nice silky coat and was well presented. Novice Bitch (2) 1. Canyoncrest Marjorie Morningstar (Du Ross) This is a really nicely marked Tricolour who was shown in good coat and condition. I do wish she had shown more animation and showmanship though because she looked bored to the point of being unhappy in the ring. Her movement disappointed. 2. Briarcrest Back Talk (Rezowalli) Another whose movement let her down quite badly today. Her head is a nice type and her markings good, but her nose pigment was faded and she needs ring training Bred By Exhibitor Bitch (9) 1. Astarring Pretty Pretty Please (Flowers Foster) WOW... what a great mover this neat little package is. She s absolutely sound in both directions and sails effortlessly round the ring keeping a lovely outline at all times. Her silky coat which is perfectly marked has real clarity, with bright rich chestnut colouring gleaming against long pearly white feathering. She has an elegant arched neck which flows into well laid back shoulders, and her hind quarters are sound with correct angulation. Seeing this spectacular showgirl challenging the stunning Winners Dog for BOB really made my day. Both are outstanding Cavaliers that I feel honoured to have judged. Winners Bitch, Reserve Best in Show, Best of Opposite Sex in Show, Best Bred By Exhibitor in Show, Best American Bred Bitch, Best Blenheim Bitch 2. Ch Brookhaven I m No Angel, JW (Ayers/Martz) The undeniable quality in this young Champion is evident at first glance. I loved her feminine head and sweet expression, and her coat markings are classic. She moved soundly in both directions and showed really well. On the day she couldn t match the mature finished picture of the class winner, but when she re-grows her coat she will be hard to beat. This is without doubt a truly lovely youngster. 3. Ch Linrica Moonwalk, JW (Cheng Liu) Endearing little girl who showed so well. Her sweet head, perfect size, sound movement and good condition all pleased, as did her topline and tail carriage. She s a little longer cast than those placed above her, but a very worthy Champion none the less. 4. Ch Kalais Never Too Late To Party (Hess) This was such a strong class, brim full of quality, and this well bodied Black & Tan was no exception. I loved her quality, breed type, and super presentation with her bright clear tans contrasting her glossy raven black jacket. This beautiful girl was a very deserving Best Black & Tan in Show. Junior American Bred Bitch (9) 1. Woodsong Angelina (Kaiser) Despite her reluctance to wag this full coated 16 month old projected herself really well. She has a very attractive head piece with pretty eyes, and just enough cushioning with fill to her clear muzzle. She moved soundly with style, but her tail carriage was higher than I like. I felt her many qualities spoke louder than this one negative, and really liked her. 2. Chadwick Drama, JW (Eckersley) Dainty little girl who look a little immature here. She has a classic head, with a clean muzzle and lovely eyes. She s very showy and presents a nice picture with her neat outline. Not quite as positive on the move as the winner, but at just one year old I feel she will improve as she matures. Today she earned her place, but she ll have better days I m sure.

3. Crownrose Dew Drop (Rosenberg) Loved this girl, but she was absolutely naked today. She s pretty headed, and has good angles which she uses to the fullest extent when on the move. In action she s as sound as a bell, and with her beautiful markings this is one exhibit I would like to see in coat. 4. Bluegarden Exclusive (Matos/Glynn) Very pleasing little 14 month old with the sweetest expression. She looked quite a baby here, but there s a lot to like. She stepped out well keeping a nice clean profile and I feel she will be a strong contender when she matures and grows her full coat. American Bred Bitch (6) 1. Brookhaven Sexy Sadie, JW (Ayers/Martz) This is a really soundly made bitch who would grace the pedigree of any serious breeder. Her angles front and rear are spot on, as is her topline and tail set. There is nothing extreme here, her head, well balanced frame, pretty Blenheim markings, all tick the boxes our Standard asks for. 2. Foxwyn A Likely Story (Greak/Comer/Baker Fox) I admired the shape, type and balance of this well bodied girl. Her pigment all through is deep, including her rich chestnut markings. She moved soundly from her well made hind quarters, but today her front was a little wide which had to be taken into account when placing her. 3. Clobear Me, Myself and I! (Kirkland/Rice-Waggoner/Mathies) Loved this little ones beautiful large dark eyes and sweet expression. Her coat is a good colour but she needs more of it. That said, she s a neat shape with well developed hind quarters. Very attractive little show girl. 4. Shirmont Delightful Caper, JW (Henry/Rosenberg) Happy little soul who showed really well. Her head type is lovely, but she doesn t have the balanced outline I was looking for, being longer cast than my ideal. To be competitive and really look the part she needs her coat and feathering 2 nd Generation American Bred Bitch (3) 1. Cedarcreek Briar Rose (Owens) I was impressed with this smart clean outline when stacked, and her pretty markings complete with coveted spot are very easy on the eye. Her head qualities are appealing with good pigment, pretty eyes and a lovely expression. Her front movement was neat and true, but her hind quarters need to strengthen. 2. La Reina s What About Me (Roberts-Espinosa) Another who was shown in lovely coat which was well marked and presented in beautiful condition. She showed so happily but completely lost it on the move with her topline rolling. 3. Benchmark Oh Happy Day of Onthemark (Chan/Mitchell) Very feminine, lightly built youngster with a cheeky expression and outgoing attitude. Her eyes show quite an area of white which gives her a rather startled look, and I would like a little more substance. I hope her bite corrects as she matures because she clearly enjoyed her time in the ring. Special Limit Blenheim Bitch (6) 1. Althof Hello Love (Hansen) This happy little 2 year old moved soundly and showed with enthusiasm wanting to please. Her head is classic, in no way exaggerated, with very black nose leather, dark eyes and long well feathered ears. She excels in hind movement, has a neat front, and a good topline. Sadly today she lacked body coat, but when in full bloom I would think she s a very competitive exhibit. 2. Marilee Nutmeg (Junk/Collins) In complete contrast this mature bitch was in full coat with long well feathered ears. She didn t have the balanced shape of the class winner, being longer in the back and narrower all through, and her head although attractive with lovely kind eyes was a little long in foreface. She moved well and showed happily. 3. Brookhaven Bless Your Heart at Sorella, JW (Green/Savage/Ayers) Neat shape and shown in good condition. Her topline was level when stacked but she lost it on the move. She has a sweet expression but needs more coat to look finished. 4. Foxwyn Tell Me A Story (Baker-Fox) This little one had a lot of dead fluff in amongst her newly grown shiny coat. She s a pretty girl of a nice size and well marked, but her movement needs to tighten up all round. Special Limit Tricolor (4) 1. Windsea Olivia (Sutton) Beautifully marked Tricolour with the prettiest of heads. Her eyes are large and dark and her muzzle is just the right length for correct proportions. She s a sensible size and her coat very well presented. She covered the ground well and just needs to be a little happier in the ring if she s to reach her full potential. 2. Luxxar Real Deal Druzy Of Glenellen (Murphy/Campanozzi) Another very pleasing girl with a lovely head type. She had enough coat but wasn t in the same top condition as the class winner. I would like to see her move with more enthusiasm and have fun in the ring. She looked a little worried which spoilt her chances somewhat. 3. Sheeba Happy Talk (Postero) Loved the shape of this almost 2 year old slightly lighter framed girl. Her markings are acceptable and her presentation good. Her hind quarters were not as strong as her neat front, but she held a level topline and a good tail carriage. 4. Roseglen I Believe In Magic (Colombo) This is a larger framed Cavalier who was well presented. She lost out on movement and head type today, but showed a typical friendly attitude, and seemed to enjoy her time in the ring. Special Limit Ruby Bitch (1) 1. Rocky Rose Sweet Dreams Filigrees Ember (Miller/Frederickson/Brauner) Appealing head with a sweet expression. She s a good size and well balanced, but today she was in-between coats so her ruby colouring was much paler in places. She moved well in front, but her hind movement was weak, and she lacked drive. Special Limit Black & Tan Bitch (1)

1. Iloo Dite Han Du Jardin De Claire Of Sumara, JW (Gentil) This smaller Cavalier has such enthusiasm both when standing and on the move. Her tail is a little wayward, but on the plus side she has a level topline and attractive head. Today she was well coated and presented in good condition. Open Bitch (6) 1. Ch Linrica Just A Dream, JW (Hsiung/Cheng Liu) I loved this well boned Toy Spaniel for her neat frame and good angles. Everything fits so well, and she moves with precision and drive. Her head is really beautiful, with a soft expression coming from her large dark eyes and well filled, clean muzzle. Such a willing, happy little soul who pulled out all stops to go Reserve Winners Bitch, Best Tricolour in Show. 2. Ch Carmas Penne Pasta at Crizwood (Moulton/Wornall) One I have judged before, and loved. She has star quality and is so deserving of the many accolades she s collected along the way. Her presentation was perfect, with her well marked coat in good order, and her head is divine, but today she was so focused on her handler that her tail was motionless, and her topline a little slack which cost her a higher placing. 1 st Award Of Merit 3. Ch Chadwick Leura, JW (Eckersley) Lovely girl who moved and showed so happily. She has such a sweet expression, and her feminine head is framed by perfectly set, well feathered ears. The only negative was she lost her topline a little when standing relaxed, but on the move she presented a beautiful flowing profile. 2 nd Award Of Merit 4. Ch Glencross Cailin at Shirmont, JW (Henry) Lots of glamour here in this prettily marked, full coated Tricolour. Her head is beautiful with good eyes and lots of soft cushioning, and her size, shape, conditioning are all top notch, but today she couldn t match the precise movement of those placed above her in this strongly competitive class. Veteran Dog (3) 1. Ch Orchardhill Shirmont Back Talk, JW (see Senior Open Dog) Best Veteran in Show 2. Ch Grantilley Goodwood at Truelegance (See Health & Conformation Dog) 3. Nottinghill Belize (Beebower) Handsome full headed 8 year old who went so well and looked impressive in side gaiting profile. His coat looks like hard work and lacked the finish of those placed higher today, but this is a very nice little male who was happy to show. Veteran Bitch (1) 1. Nottinghill Annalise (Barnfather) I admired the breed type of this beautifully kept Blenheim. Her head is typy with really pretty eyes, and her shapely outline is balanced with good angles. She moved well with her happy tail in constant motion. Congratulation to her owner and breeders. Stud Dog (1) 1. Ch Benchmark Up In The Air of Onthemark (See Health & Conformation Class) This healthy, well made male is certainly producing a lovely type in his progeny. Brace (1) 1. Deltarose Devine Diva of Shadowbrook & Shadowbrook Delta Darlin (Moody) This Tricolour mother and daughter team are like clones, and made a perfect pair for this class. They have lovely breed features, and moved so well together at a good pace. Their pretty coats were presented in shining condition, and they put in a great performance.
