2 Trial Secretary s Notes Welcome to the Cavalier King Club of Victoria s inaugural Restricted to Height Obedience and Rally-O trials! We are very excited to be hosting this trial the first of its kind in Australia. Our little dogs are very special, and this seemed to be a great opportunity to showcase what they can do. The Thank Yous: To the Club for allowing me the opportunity to run this trial, and especially to Sue Smith, who got the ball rolling. To our judges Ross Carlson, Kim Houlden, and Yvonne Ross for accepting the invitation to judge this trial. I hope you have done your knee bending exercises! To our stewards for volunteering their time without stewards, a trial would not run smoothly, so we are very grateful to you. To all those who happily volunteered to help out behind the scenes in various different capacities. A Trial Secretary who is also participating in a trial cannot be everywhere at once, and many hands make light work. Your time and willingness is greatly appreciated! 3 Administration The Cavalier King Club of Victoria Inc. is affiliated with Dogs Victoria, and these trials are conducted under the Rules and Regulations of Dogs Victoria; an electronic copy of these documents will be held with the Trial Secretary and may be viewed on request. This is a Restricted to Height trial, and is open to all dogs and bitches on the Main, Limited, and Associate Registers that measure under 500mm at the shoulder as per the current ANKC rulebook requirements. Handlers are responsible for cleaning up and removing droppings left by his or her dog; there are plenty of bag dispensers on hand around KCC Park. Trial Precincts The trial precincts are the entire judging area, plus an exclusion zone of 20 metres around all rings as set up. No off-leash training or exercise is permitted within the precincts of the trial. Bitches in oestrum shall not be permitted to compete in the trial, nor remain within the precincts of the trial. All care has been taken when compiling this catalogue to avoid ring clashes where possible. However, for those handlers who have multiple entries, please notify your ring steward if you are competing in another ring. All bitches MUST be vetted prior to being issued with a pass to the ring(s). If any details in this catalogue are incorrect, please advise the Trial Secretary as soon as possible to ensure that your pass card is prepared correctly. 5
