Day Parkers may join friends camping on the grounds or they can set up a day tent on the lower field in a designated day parking site. DO NOT set up close to the rings as in the past some unattended dogs have disturbed exhibitors by barking. Day tents may be left set up but the club is NOT RESPONSIBLE for their safety and they are left at owner s risk. Day parkers vehicles MAY NOT be parked at a friend s site! There is a $10.00 per day charge if you set up a day tent on the grounds. Exhibitors may bring in day equipment by way of the front gate or through the gates by the tennis court and Obedience ring. Day Parkers MAY NOT drive their vehicle on to the grounds to drop off equipment people have abused this courtesy in the past. The club will try to help with transport via a golf cart if required. The area designated The Grove is reserved for Obedience Rally O and Specialty exhibitors. The Grove is for day setup by these groups ONLY. There is limited space so users are asked NOT TO BE GREEDY. Equipment MUST be brought onto the grounds via the bottom fence entrance near The Grove ABSOLUTELY NO DROP OFFS using a vehicle and NO vehicles are permitted in the Grove area. Please respect the camping area used by our Obedience & Rally organizers. Exhibitors or spectators who are designated handicapped may drive onto the grounds down the RIGHT side of the park (by the railroad tracks) and park for the day in a designated area as determined by the show chairman. Dogs ARE NOT TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN A VEHICLE OR AT A SET- UP. Authorities will be contacted! Day of Trial entries Registration for trial at the show secretaries table at least 1 hour prior to the start of the show. Space subject to operational requirements (eg. amount of daylight left on Friday) The Vernon & District Kennel Club is proud to support Breeder/Owner/Handled entries. Dogs DO NOT need to be entered in the Bred By class but it is the exhibitors responsibility to notify the ring steward of their BOH status. Rosettes will be awarded at breed level if the BOB is breeder/owner handled. If a BOH dog places in the group it is the EXHIBITOR s responsibility to immediately notify the Chief Ring Steward of the placement. The highest placing BOH dog in group will compete in the Best Breeder/Owner/Handler competition following Best Puppy in Show competition. This competition is to recognize the importance of Breeder Owner Handler in our sport. Please ensure units are filled with fresh water and gray water tanks are flushed PRIOR to entering the grounds. THERE ARE NO FILL OR DUMPING FACILITIES AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS. In an ongoing effort to protect the grounds from damage (and ensure continued use of the park!) the Club will restrict driving in and out of the park during the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm daily. There will be only one designated vehicle (or van & trailer unit) per site. Daily Exhibitors who plan on setting up with friends at an overnight site will be asked to park outside the gate and dolly their equipment and dogs onto the grounds. THERE WILL BE NO TRAFFIC ALLOWED ON THE LOWER LEVEL NEAR THE RINGS DURING SHOW HOURS. Campers with extra vehicles MUST park them outside the fence. Exhibitors using an assigned over-night camping spot will be charged the camping fee per night charge even if their vehicle is not parked there overnight. Exhibitors using these sites are asked to be on-site by 0800 and not to leave until after BIS. Generators may only be run between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!! Washrooms, playground, showers at the pool. (Note: the showers are OUTDOORS AT THE POOL - please bring a swimsuit!) Concession will be open daily. Gates will be closed at 11:00pm each night. All exhibitors and vendors MUST clear the grounds 2 hours after Best Puppy in Show on Sunday. What do the numbers after a breed mean? eg indicates 1 Class dog-2 Class bitches-3 Special dogs-4 Special bitches BP 4-5 indicates 4 Baby puppy dogs-5 Baby puppy bitches.
