2 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS CAMPING POLICY FOR ALL RECREATIONAL VEHICLES - There is a DAILY camping fee for ALL PRE- REGISTERED recreational vehicles staying on the Fairgrounds. Please return the CAMPING PRE- REGISTRATION FORM (located in this premium) filled out in its entirely and payment in U.S. Funds by March 15, 2019, to Penny Kretchmer. Registrations received AFTER March 15 will be charged a DAILY fee of $ Full instructions and arrival times are located on the Camping Form. An confirmation will be sent. NO refunds. UNLOADING, LOADING & GENERAL PARKING - please follow all signs and parking attendants for smooth unloading and loading. Failure to do can warrant a bench hearing. There is ample parking, but is away from the building. Please make appropriate plans to arrive early, unload and then park. Plan accordingly. Buildings will OPEN AT 1:00 P.M., eariler if possible, ON Wednesday, March 27, NO vehicle traffic will be allowed in the building. Dogs may be left overnight in the Exposition Center only at the owner's risk The Exposition Center will be open from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. on the days of the shows. No one will be allowed in the buildings after they close. There will be a guard overnight in the Exhibit Center. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION AKC Junior Handler Numbers are now required for entry in Junior Showmanship Competition. NOVICE JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. NOVICE SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN JUNIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN INTERMEDIATE CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. OPEN SENIOR CLASS: For Boys and Girls who are least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Places, with competition present, in a Novice Showmanship Class at a licensed or member show. MASTER CLASS: This Class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year. Competition must exist for Best Junior Handler. NOTICE JUNIORS WITH A DOG ALSO ENTERED IN ANOTHER CLASS OFFERED AT THIS SHOW WHO SUBSTITUTE A DOG NOT ENTERED IN THIS SHOW MUST REMIT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUNIOR ONLY AND JUNIOR AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASS ENTRY FEE. JUNIORS WHO HAVE ENTERED JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY WHO THEN SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER DOG WILL NOT BE CHARGED A FURTHER FEE. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging. AKC approval is not required. The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table or ramp). At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Clumber Spaniel, English Springer Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets (Misc). At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, the following breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and Whippets. 3

4 The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Sussex Spaniels, Basset Hounds, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition at AKC conformation doing shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includes Group, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any ground breed. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund. 5 BEGINNER PUPPY SPECIAL ATTRACTION DATE - Friday, March 29, 2019 Bring your Beginner Puppies (4-6 months of age) to the Onondaga Kennel Association, Kennel Club - Four to Six Month Special Attraction (AKC Sanctioned). One combined class will be offered for breeds and varieties of dogs that are four months and under six months and divided into Groups as described in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds as listed in Chapter 3, Section 23. There will be a selection of Best of Breed Puppy in each Breed/Variety. All Best of Breed Puppy winners will then compete in their respective group for First through Fourth. The Miscellaneous class competition will be judged by breed followed by a group competition. Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds may compete and the winners of each FSS breed will compete in an "FSS Group". The Miscellaneous Group an FSS Group winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4-6 Month Puppy in Show. An AKC registration number or litter number is required for entries of an AKC recognized breed. FSS number or FSS registered litter number is required for Miscellaneous & FSS Breed entries. Dogs must be four months of age and under six months. Dogs are required to be vaccinated in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for th judges. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4-6 month Puppy Special Attraction event. 6 Best Owner-Handled in Show Competition - Friday, March 29, 2019 Saturday, March 30, 2019 National Owner-Handled Series The AKC Owner/Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners who are not professional handlers. This series of special competitions will be offered at dog shows across the country. All dogs that are owner/handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers' meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner/Handler eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward's book and the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the competition by an eligible owner. Professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition. The Owner Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes.! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Group.! If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition ineligible and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible undefeated exhibits of the owner sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety.! If the Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are both ineligible and Select Dog and Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch.! If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all dogs of the same sex and then choose Best Owner- Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners.! If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are ineligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed or in Best of Winners Competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog.
