1 CKCSC Trudy Brown Albrecht Memorial Rally 10/13/2017 Indianapolis, Indiana Elaine Berwick, Merrylaine Cavaliers, UK I would like to thank the CKCSC, USA for the honour of judging the Trudy Albrecht Memorial Rally show on the Friday of the National weekend. The show was hosted by the Cavaliers of the Midwest, and chaired by Holly Young May and Kathy Gentil. The ballroom was transformed into a Halloween extravaganza by Kathy, Holly and their team. I am sure I speak for many when I say all your hard work was truly appreciated. A special thank you as well to my ring steward Kathy Tegg. I would like to thank the exhibitors who travelled from far and wide to attend the show. There were some lovely representatives of the breed shown. The main winners in the dog entry stood out, but as in previous times when I have judged in the USA, the bitch entry was teeming with quality from the Junior Puppy right through to the best Open Bitch class I have ever judged, which had an entry of 8 worthy champions. Presentation overall was first class. However, I was disappointed in the lack of quality in the wholecolours, especially in the boys. However, I was very pleasantly surprised in the quality of the Tricolour entry, especially the two Tricolour classes, which had quality right down the line. Thank you all again, it will be a weekend I will never forget. Elaine Berwick JUNIOR PUPPY DOG (1) 1. KELLENE WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING (Carter) Lovely ruby baby to start the show. Very raw, but shows lots of promise. I loved his sweet expression, dark eyes and excellent pigment. Bone was just right for his size. Nice rich colour to his coat. He moved well both ways. Will watch his future with interest. BEST PUPPY DOG IN SHOW SENIOR PUPPY DOG (3) 1. BROOKHAVEN I M A BELIEVER (Ayers/Martz) Blenheim boy, immature, but lots of promise. Just needs some time but it s all there. Soundly made and just the right amount of bone. Most gorgeous eyes. Well marked, moved steadily and held his topline well on the move. Beautifully presented. BEST SENIOR PUPPY IN SHOW 2. STARMARC MAN ABOUT TOWN (Rezowalli/Hooper) Pretty Tricolour boy, good tan in all the right places. Good bone for his age. Good shoulder placement. Lots of promise

2 3. RANLYN'S DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (Bragg) More mature Blenheim boy, fuller head than those above. Full ears, dark eyes and excellent pigment, coat in lovely condition, level topline. Just right amount of bone for his size. GRADUATE PUPPY DOG (6) 1. BRAEMARRA RUBEN (Gentil) Had seen this boy in the UK, and he is maturing into a lovely boy and has come on leaps and bounds. Well marked Blenheim, shorter in foreface than I prefer but loved his dark eyes and excellent pigment. Compact size and shape. He moved around the ring with ease going well both ways. 2. HUNTCREST MY GUY (Weiner Pope) I preferred the head of this Blenheim boy to the one above. Lovely gentle expression with dark eyes and good pigment. He had a super day on the Saturday, huge congratulations to his owner.

3 JUNIOR AMERICAN BRED DOG (3) 1. CHADWICK TELLTALE AUTHOR, JW (Eckersley) Easy winner of this class, shorter muzzle than I normally like, but his other attributes more than made up for this. He is an ideal shape. Large illustrious eyes, excellent pigment. Good neck and shoulder placement, level topline. An exciting youngster. Delighted to award him an AWARD OF MERIT. 2. ALMEARA I BELIEVE (Parente) Larger size than first, but everything is in proportion. Liked his rich colour and his coat is just coming through. Moved well both ways with plenty of drive. 3. CH CHADWICK JET SETTER AT HUDSONVIEW, JW (Glynn/Glynn) I was splitting hairs between this boy and the 1 st. I preferred Jet Setter s expression, it is so soft, with dark liquid eyes, and excellent pigment. His head was framed by well set ears. He is a different type to above, but another lovely boy who matches the breed standard well. Shown so sympathetically by his owner. Some today were very excitable but not this lovely boy. Good neck and shoulders, he moved very steadily and has a good turn of stifle. I was very happy to award him RESERVE WINNERS DOG 3.
