(Hair must not be allowed to excessively float in parking lot, grassy site areas or rooms.) Please make reservations early! Cancellations must be made 72 hours in advance! 6 DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE Traveling to Indy from the East on I-70 W Take I-70 West to the Holt Road Exit (#xxx). Turn RIGHT (north) off the exit ramp. Then turn RIGHT (east) again at the first road Oliver Avenue. The turn into the Site is off Oliver Avenue. Traveling to Indy from the West on I-70 E Take I70 West to the Holt Road Exit (#xxx). Turn LEFT (north) off the exit ramp. You will go through another stop light immediately after turning left. After the stop light Oliver Avenue is to your right Turn RIGHT Traveling to Indy from I-69 N to I-465 S to I-70 W Take I-69 South to I-465 South (right after E. 82 nd St/Castleton exit). You will veer towards the left. Take I-70 West towards Indy. Stay on I-70 W lanes. When you get to the Holt Rd exit (#xx) turn RIGHT at the end of the ramp. Then turn RIGHT (east) again at the first road Oliver Avenue. The turn into the Site off Oliver Avenue. Traveling to Indy from I-69 S to I-465 N to I-70 E Construction may still be going on for the new I-69 from Martinsville to Indianapolis along SR 37. You should be able to get as far as Martinsville. Take SR 37 or SR 67 to I-465. Get on I-465 N to I-70 W. Traveling to Indy From I-65 S or I-65 N to I-70 W Take I-65 N or S to I-70 W. Get off the Holt Rd. exit. Turn N. Next road is Oliver, turn right. You can park your vehicles in the grass near the show ring. Please try not to rut the grass as best as you can. The American Legion has allowed us to do this. They don t want us in the parking lot!! The American Legion will provide lunch for purchase. You really don t want to eat at any nearby fast food restaurants. Besides being slow, the food is not good and hot food is served cold usually! 6

7 NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS DISCLAIMER The German Shepherd Dog Club of Central Indiana, Inc. will assume NO responsibility for any personal injury to or death of any person; injury or death of any animal; nor theft, damage or loss of personal property, either at or on the show grounds whether as a result of accident or any other cause. The welfare of an exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Exhibitors are expected to exercise control over their children. Trophies, ribbons, rosettes and prizes will be given to the owner or agent at the show. Trophies, ribbons, rosettes, and prizes will not be mailed. Various parts of the Specialty Shows may be videotaped. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when judged. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted to be used within 100 feet of the show site. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the show committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to, snowstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, lightning, extreme heat must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors, and spectators. No refunds will be made. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors, and spectators is of paramount importance. In the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made. There will be coffee at the American Legion, there are plenty of nearby restaurants & gas stations where you can get coffee in addition FROM the hotel that you stay at. We will have complimentary bottled water and small candies at ringside. 7

8 ATTENTION EXHIBITORS The Show Site will be available to exhibitors at 6 AM Saturday, April 6, Dogs must be removed from the show site 1-hour after Best of Breed Judging. Dogs are not permitted in the rest rooms or food areas. The German Shepherd Dog Club of Central Indiana, Inc is not responsible for the safety or wellbeing of dogs or other property left at the site. Exhibitors will be responsible for maintaining clean conditions around the space where they groom, especially those with breeds which require an abundance of powdering and/or clipping. Exhibitors should have clean up equipment with them. NEW EXHIBITOR BRIEFING on Saturday. Check Judging Program for time & location. A Recording Fee of 50 cents for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show or Obedience Trial. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 1st Entry & $3.00 additional entry of same dog will be required for each entry in Rally. (American Kennel Club Rally Regulation, Chapter 1, Section 3) These Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club and are included in the entry fee. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS. There will be no refund for duplicate entries. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs allowed in rings during judging only. Dogs must be ready for judging. The club will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. All prizes must be claimed the day of the show - None will be mailed. All checks issued as prizes are the sole responsibility of the recipient. Lost, stolen and/or misplaced checks will not be replaced. Checks are valid for 90 days. The Superintendent is not able to cash checks. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. Fees must be paid in guaranteed funds. Entry Fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Superintendent. The show giving Club, the Show Superintendent, their agents, employees, etc, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees, signatures or the Agreement on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. Refunds of $3.00 & less will not be issued due to the costs of processing. NOTICE: EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2017, INDIANA SIGNED HOUSE ENROLLED ACT Definition: Any Dog Believed to be in Danger locked in a Hot Car, may be rescued by a Good Samaritan so long as certain aspects are met. 14
