Walking Field Trial Premium AKC Licensed Event # SSJ Farm Dog Gone Trail Hilliard, FL Friday February 22 through Sunday February 24, 2019 This field trial is open to all AKC registered pointing breeds and is being held under the rules and procedures of the American Kennel Club, Inc. The field trial is being run under the flexible format. Entries will be limited to the number of dogs that can be safely run during daylight hours and entries will close if this is reached prior to the specified closing date and time. The MFBC reserves the right to rearrange the running order and/or add/rearrange judges if the size of the trial cannot be accommodated by the plan stated. 3 Courses, Birds, and Other Comments 1) This is a walking trial. All stakes are single course. 2) Native and/or liberated quail in all stakes. 3) All stakes will be 30 minutes, except Open Walking Puppy and Amateur Walking Puppy which are 15 minutes and Open Walking Derby and Amateur Walking Derby which are 20 minutes.. 4) NO OPEN BARREL GUNS PERMITTED and only up to.38 caliber. 5) Horseback handling is NOT permitted in any stake. 6) Use of AKC approved tracking collars/gps devices is permitted. 7) Horses will not be provided by Mid-Florida Brittany Club, Inc. 8) Weather and field conditions permitting, AKC Accommodation Letter 9) Handicap Certificate holders may handle from an ATV. 10) Use a separate entry form for each entry of each dog! 11) Starter pistols will not be fired in puppy stakes Directions Prizes AKC standard rosettes to all placed dogs in all stakes. Go thru Hilliard and continue north until you see the sign for the weigh station. Turn right onto Conner Cutoff Road just as US 1 is split for the weigh station. Continue 1/2 mile to the gate on the right for SSJ Farm/Dog Gone Trail, and then follow the signs to the event. From the North, it is approximately 3 miles south of the Georgia border on US 1 to the weigh station. You must pass the weigh station and make a UTurn to go north on US 1 to turn right onto Conner Cutoff Road. Continue 1/2 mile to the gate on the right for SSJ Farm/Dog Gone Trail, and follow the signs to the event. CAMPING ON GROUNDS: Dry camping is permitted on the grounds at no cost. Anyone bringing an RV and needing hook-ups and water it is $10 per night. Please contact Sharon Williams at SSJ Farm for availability at All Camping Fees must be paid directly to Sharon Williams at check-in. Food Coffee & pastries in the morning complimentary of the Mid-Florida Brittany Club. Lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday and dinner on Friday and Saturday night. If you will be joining us for meals, please fill out the following meal form and return to the trial secretary with payment. Go approximately 34 miles on US 1 and turn onto 95 South. Go approximately 1/2 mile and exit onto 8th Street, exit 353D. Turn left on West 8th Street and follow the signs to Emergency entrance. CLOSEST ANIMAL EMERGENCY - Affiliated Veterinarian Emergency Hours: Friday 6 PM thru Monday 8 AM Turn left onto Connor Cutoff Road, then right on US 1 North, go past the weigh station and make a U-turn and go south on US 1. Go approximately 25 miles on US 1 and turn left onto SR 104 E/Dunn Avenue. Go 2.5 miles to I 295N via the ramp on the left toward Savannah. Go 15 miles to Exit 45 SR-113/Southside Connector toward Merrill Rd East. Merge onto Southside Connector Blvd via the exit on the left toward Arlington Expressway/Southside Blvd. Southside Connector Blvd becomes SR 155 S/Southside Blvd. AVE is on the service road running parallel to Southside Blvd. To reach the service road, take the Ramp toward US 90/Beach Blvd and stay straight to go onto the Service Road/Southside Blvd to 3444 Southside Blvd on the right.
