1 All Breed Earthdog Training at Country Lane Pet Resort, Bowmanville, On June 4 and 5, 2011 Beginner Level Saturday June 4, 9:00 am 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm 4:00 pm (If there are not enough entries for two sessions, one session only will be held in the morning) Advanced Level Sunday June 5, 9:00 am 12:00 pm (If necessary, a second session will be held 1 4pm) Limited Entry. You must pre-register. The Beginner class is recommended for dogs with little or no exposure to quarry and tunnels. The Advanced class is recommended for dogs who need to work on drive and/or require work experience in longer tunnels. Directions to Training: Description of Classes:

3 Beginner Class (Dogs will be working in a secure fenced area) 1. Introduction to Quarry - Your dog will meet the quarry and go through a tunnel on top of the ground. Dogs progress at varying rates as their instincts become stronger. 2. Dogs are encouraged to enter a 10 foot tunnel, which is above the ground, and find their quarry at the end. 3. Dogs are encouraged to enter a 30 foot tunnel, which is above ground and has multiple turns and find their quarry at the end. 4. Dogs will have the opportunity to enter a 10 tunnel which is buried underground (dependant on how comfortable they are with above-ground tunnels). Advanced Class (Dogs will be working in a semi-secure area, however a determined dog will be able to escape) 1. Dogs are encouraged to enter a 10 foot tunnel which is buried under ground and has multiple turns and find their quarry at the end. 2. Dogs will have the opportunity to enter a 30 tunnel buried underground. 3. Trouble-shoot dog - specific issues, such as insufficient time working the quarry, running above ground to quarry rather than through the tunnels, multiple entrances and recalling from quarry. If you are not sure which level to enter, contact Deb d.mahon@sympatico.ca or Sue suegodbehere@hotmail.com Bring to class: sturdy leash and plain buckle or snap collar, wire kennel cage (optional) and plenty of treats and water for you and your pet.
