There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in each Breed/Variety, each Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed/Variety winner will then compete in their respective group for First through Fourth Placements. The Miscellaneous Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a Miscellaneous 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. The Foundation Stock Service Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a FSS 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. All First Place Group Winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show. An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed or Miscellaneous breed. FSS number or FSS registered litter number will be required for FSS entries. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Proof of rabies vaccination of any animal at or on the show grounds is required. Attention Exhibitors The show site will be available to vendors after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. Vendors must setup between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. and all vehicles must be out of building by 2:00 P.M. Vendor vehicles will not be allowed to interfere with the setting up of the show rings. Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show judging of the Lawrenceville Kennel Club, Inc. show on Sunday. Vendors must vacate the building by 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Exhibitors will be allowed in building after 9:00 A.M. Wednesday. No exhibitor vehicles will be allowed in the building for unloading purposes. All trophies must be claimed each day of the shows. All dogs that are owner-handled and are not solely owned or exhibited by professional handlers* meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward s book & the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition. Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed/Variety competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and undefeated winners of the non-regular classes. This excludes all dogs defeated during class and winners competition for the regular show. If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled group. If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. If neither the Best of Breed/Variety nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handled competition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. If the regular show Best of Breed/Variety, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog who competed in Best of Breed/Variety including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as the Best of Breed/Variety for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series. If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winners are ineligible since it was defeated. No class dogs other than the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed/Variety or in Best of Winners competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years. **A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or, assisting a professional handler at the show or any show during the cluster/weekend. 39 Junior Showmanship Seminar & Pizza Party/Social Will be held immediately after Best in Show on Saturday, February 6, 2016 Sponsored by Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club of Georgia, Inc. Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club of Georgia, Inc. is sponsoring a FREE Junior Handling Seminar and Pizza Party/Social for kids and their dogs of all skill levels. We will have an AKC Junior Showmanship judge, Darcy Quinlan, and two former successful junior handlers, Ashley Albro and Amanda Quinlan, teaching kids how to be better handlers and work with their dogs as a team. The judge will be explaining what she looks for when judging Junior Showmanship. Pre-registration is preferred but we will accept day of event registration until 3:00 p.m. on February 6, Pre-registration will allow us to make sure we have enough pizza to feed everyone. 42 Cherokee Rose Cluster RV Parking RV PARKING INFORMATION WITH ELECTRICAL HOOKUPS RV Parking information with electrical hookups will be by reservation only. Space assignments will be made by the Parking Chairman at the gate. Parking regulations will be strictly enforced. Parking areas will be considered part of the show site and any infractions will be referred to the Event Committee for action. Each rig will be assigned a specific parking space. All setups must be within your assigned space. Trailer and towed vehicles are considered together as one unit. All units must be self-contained. Exhibitors will be responsible for clean-up of their parking areas. No running of generators will be allowed unless special permission is granted by Parking Chairman. Bring at least an additional length of 100 feet of 50 amp electrical cord. You must bring a 50 amp adaptor if your cord does not have a 50 amp plug. Get fuel before you arrive. The clubs will not provide fuel, cords or adaptors. Parking spaces will be assigned as you enter the show site. All setups must be within your assigned space. At the discretion of the Parking Chairman, towed vehicles and trailers may be required to park trailers in a designated area, away from motor home location. Reservations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. If we receive your reservation after all hookups are taken, you will be notified and your money refunded. If confirmation is needed, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. RV parking information without electrical hookups Overnight RV parking is $15.00 per night without electrical hookups. LIMITS Length of tow vehicle plus length of towed vehicle cannot exceed 50 feet. If length is exceeded there will be additional parking fees. Honey wagon will be on site Friday, at approximately 5:00 P.M. Pumping is $35.00 & you must be present for pumping. Notify attendant at the gate if you want the service and you will pay the vendor at the time of service. Do not send payment with RV reservation. Motor homes will be allowed on show grounds after 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 3, Motor Homes will be parked until 10:00 P.M. Proceed approximately 2/10 of a mile and turn left at the traffic light onto Conley Road. Entrance to the show grounds is on the left side of Conley Road.
