Math Question 2 Witch Wilda had to fly urgently to Japan to meet Sorcerer Sakuma. However, she couldn't bear to leave her cats at home. Therefore, she put all her cats on a flying carpet and they all flew happily to Japan. 4/9 of her cats were bald. The rest, 205 of them, had wooly coats. a) How many cats did she have altogether? b) How many more wooly cats than bald cats did she have?

2 Math Question 3 Bigfoot had a good time last week. He caught some people and threw them into a pit with some venomous snakes inside. 2/7 of them were women. The rest, 180 of them, were men. a) How many people did he catch altogether? b) How many more men than women did he catch? Math Question 4 When Buthu looked into the mirror this morning, he yelled in shock. Hair had sprouted from his eyes. 2/9 of that hair was from his left eye. His right eye had 161 strands of hair. a) How many strands of hair grew from his eyes altogether? b) How many more strands of hair grew from his right eye than his left eye?

3 Math Question 5 Mechanic Melvin brought home some tires and his wife made 8 trays of delicious tire pies with them. Each tray had 25 pies in it. Melvin ate 1/4 of the pies for lunch. His wife ate 3/5 of the remainder. Their 5 hungry kids ate what was left after that. If each kid ate an equal number of pies, how many pies did each kid eat? Math Question 6 When a savage troll attacked Snail Land, the snails defended their country. 21 squads of snail soldiers began shooting at the troll. There were 20 snail soldiers in each squad. The troll stomped on 1/5 of the snail soldiers. He threw salt on 2/7 of the remaining soldiers. The troll finally picked up the soldiers that were left and gave them equally to his 6 troll friends. How many soldiers did each friend get?

4 Math Question 7 Caveman Cuthu learned how to cook spicy diplodocus curry from a TV show. He immediately cooked 18 pots of diplodocus curry. Each pot had 28 l of delicious diplodocus curry in it. His eager relatives ate 3/7 of the curry on Monday. His friends ate 4/9 of the remaining curry on Tuesday. As the curry that was left on Wednesday was turning bad, Cuthu gave it to his 8 pet velociraptors. If each pet received the same amount of curry, how much did each velociraptor eat? Math Question 8 My grandpa was losing his hair. My grandma began collecting his hair. In a week's time, she had collected 12 plastic bags of hair. She had 40 strands of hair in each bag. She made a sweater with 3/8 of the hair. She made a pair of socks with the remaining 1/6 of the hair. Finally, she made 5 lovely caps with the hair that was left. If the same amount of hair went into each cap, how many strands of hair went into each cap?

5 Math Question 9 Cowgirl Clara was riding in the woods when suddenly she was confronted by a horde of hairy spiders. 1/3 of the spiders were tarantulas. 1/4 of the spiders were black widows. 1/6 of them were wolf spiders. The rest were crab spiders. Clara shot them all with her trusty gun. If there were 17 more crab spiders than wolf spiders, how many spiders attacked Clara altogether. Math Question 10 Clara had to cross a river after that. However, there were some crazy crocodiles, alligators, hippopotamuses and piranhas waiting to tear her to pieces. 1/2 of them were crocodiles. 1/5 of them were alligators. 1/10 of them were hippos. There were 69 fewer piranhas than crocs. Clara killed them with her deadly bullwhip and made the crossing safely. How many animals did she kill altogether?

6 Math Question 11 Curator Caleb held a disco party at his museum last night. Some Egyptians, Mesopotamians, Babylonians and Greeks turned up. 1/4 of his guests were eager Egyptians. 1/6 of them were mischievous Mesopotamians. 1/12 of them were bald Babylonians. There were 140 more Greeks than Babylonians. How many people turned up at Caleb's party? Math Question 12 Someone unfortunately turned up the volume of the music too loud. The eardrums of all of Caleb's guests shattered. The guests were rushed to hospital. However, the party did not stop as some cockroaches, rats, beetles and ants took over the dance floor and began gyrating to the cool music. 1/12 of the pests were cockroaches. 1/3 were rats. 1/2 were beetles. There were 168 fewer ants than rats. Curator Caleb finally sprayed some insecticide and killed the party. How many pests were dancing altogether?

7 Math Question 13 Priya had a pet shop. She had 700 pretty poodles in her pet shop last week. 2/7 of the poodles were pink. The rest were blue. The pink poodles cost $6 each. The blue poodles cost $9 each because they could also bite. By the end of the week, Priya had sold 1/4 of the pink poodles and 2/5 of the blue poodles. How much money did she make by selling the pretty pooches? Math Question 14 Priya also had 270 scorpions in her pet shop. 4/9 of the scorpions could sing. They cost $8 each. The rest could wrestle. Those cost $5 each. Priya sold 2/5 of the singing scorpions and 1/6 of the wrestling scorpions. How much did she earn from the scorpions?

8 Math Question 15 Brian has a shop that sells snooker tables. He had altogether 560 snooker tables for sale last month. 5/8 of the snooker tables were made of diamonds. They cost $3 each. The rest of the snooker tables were made of toilet paper. Those cost $7 each because they were unique. By the end of the month he had sold 4/7 of the diamond tables and 2/3 of the toilet paper tables. How much money did he make? Math Question 16 Brian also sells snooker cues. He had 1260 of them at the beginning of the month. 1/4 of them were made of unicorn horn. They cost $5 each. The rest of the snooker cues were made of dragon teeth. Those cost $9 each. By the end of the month, Brian had sold 3/7 of the unicorn horn cues and 2/5 of the dragon teeth cues. How much money did he make?

When the wind blew, the two snakes dropped onto the startled scouts. The scouts immediately barbecued and ate the delicious snakes. The total length of the two snakes was 182 m. The anaconda was 78 m longer than the viper. a) What was the length of the anaconda? b) Express the viper's length as a fraction of the anaconda's length in its simplest form. Math Question 18 Later in the night, a hippo and a tiger joined the scouts because they were lonely. The total weight of the two animals was 294 kg. The tiger weighed 42 kg less than the hippo. a) What was the weight of the tiger? b) Express the tiger's weight as a fraction of the hippo's weight in its simplest form.

Sodhu caught them in the act and in a fit of rage transformed some of the boys into imps and the rest into flies. After that, there were 60 fewer imps than flies. a) How many boys were transformed into flies? b) Express the number of imps as a fraction of the number of flies in its simplest form.
