2 OVERVIEW The local asylum is a run-down secure hospital specialising in category A violent patients and they even have a special medical wing where they house the serial killers. It s large gothic building that casts an eerie shadow over its neighbourhood. It s got high walls and steel doors because that s what society believes is required to keep itself safe. This of course has also kept both the zeds and the survivors out, so it s be a good place to find new resources The asylum is modelled after Dr. Thomas Kirkbride requirements. He spearheaded a revolution in ethical treatment of mental patients insisting that mental institutions should be restful places, with large and rambling rooms and corridors, airy high ceilings and windows, for the patients to roam and get their exercise. What the players don t know is that this bunch of inmates are just about the right kind of force to take on zombies. So now the lunatics have taken over the asylum and are controlled by their leader Napoleon. SURVIVOR BRIEFING I still haven t found what I m looking for... Its Halloween but the dead came to life years ago and they scare you a lot more than Ghosts and Ghoulies. Your team has been working its way through the city trying to find food but you re finding to harder and harder to find what you need. This place is getting dangerous now as the zeds seem to be congregating in the central city. ZOMBIE CONTROLLER BRIEFING I don t know Karate, but I know Kar-razy... The set up for this game is a little different than most games because the zombie controller player starts playing both the inmates and zeds. Throughout this game there is no zombie chain unless someone opens the gates Napoleon and the inmate gang took over the hospital and then rounded up all the security guards and hospital orderlies into one room. As part of the fun they also push in a freshly bitten individual and then they stood back to watch the fun it wasn t long before the entire group was infected. Napoleon kept the infected locked up for several days until they have turned into s and has now been released them to walk throughout the asylum. Napoleon and the inmates see them as pets and tease them on occasion. The inmates special rule means they can walk throughout the asylum without being attacked by zeds. However if any person turns into a all bets are off. Special Inmates Rule The inmates for some reason are ignored by zeds but not by s no one knows why, its assumed that this is something about how their brains work or fail to communicate to the s. The s still react as they are still vaguely sentient at that point and using their vision to identify targets. One of the few places you haven t tried yet is the local asylum. The place used to give you the creeps when you were kids but that was before the dead walked the earth. You and a few trusted friends decide it s time to go exploring. Having been observing the sanatorium for a few days it appears that there is no one alive in there but that doesn t mean there is no one dead in there. The virus that triggered the outbreak seemed to get everywhere but who knows

3 Napoleon This inmate believes he is Napoleon and as such is the greatest military mind of this and any other age. He has his zombies and has recruited the best of the inmates. For the last few weeks they have been living of the food stuffs in the asylum kitchen. All except Lord Humungous who has been eating the few remaining uninfected hospital orderlies that he keeps penned in one of the rooms. His obsession got the better of him and desperate to increase his size he began roiding out. The steroids played with his mind making him irritable, aggressive, violent and with uncontrolled amounts of high energy. This has led him to developing false beliefs. One of which is that to get enough protein he needs to eat human flesh. It was this party trick that got him committed to the asylum in the first place. He currently has the last few uninfected orderlies chained up in one of the rooms. Not wishing to let good meat go to waste, he does eat them all in one sitting and each of the survives is missing limbs and are now completely unhinged. 4 Inmate Batman Bruce was a comic reading wannabe that only his mother liked. A loser throughout high school and university he started to quietly rage against the world. One night on the way home from the comic book store he was attacked by jocks and beaten badly as he lay on the ground dazed they continued to kick him all he could see was the Batman comic he had brought. The next day he bought a batman suit and over the next six weeks killed each of the jocks in truly horrible ways. At the trial asked why he did it he simply replied, I m Batman. Once locked up the orderlies found he wouldn t answer to any name other than Batman so from them on they referred to him as inmate Batman. Inmate Batman has now fashion a new Batsuit and now goes everywhere dressed as his idol. Never having the greatest grip on reality, the Zombie apocalypse pushed him over the edge. He decided the only way to combat the zombie menace was to create a race of super soldiers to defeat the s. Herr Doktor as he was nicknamed by the inmates quickly ran out of rats and mice and went to work on his orderlies and inmates. Only two survived but have both have been deeply affected mentally as the Doktor has fused edged weapons fused into their bodies (hooks and blades instead of hands). Herr Doktor is becoming increasing more desperate and irrational and is now hoping to get more test subjects from the survivor community. He is protected at all times by his orderlies.
