What are the funds used for? Does an increase in funding normally mean more medals won? Should governments be spending large sums of money on Olympic athletes? Some countries, even those that are very successful, don t have any government funds going to Olympic athletes. Where would they get money from? In which Olympic sports does Australia normally do well in? 1. For each Olympic medal won by Australian athletes, how much did it cost in government funding?
