Cheetahs are some of the most interesting animals I can think of and they are our school mascot so why not learn a few fun facts about these cool cats. Cheetahs usually live years and weigh pounds. They can go up to 59 mp3 and run miles per hour. Their slender bodies help them go fast and they are 6-8 feet long. They have excellent eye sight which makes them very good hunters. They hunt gazelles, impalas, and other small hoofed animals. They hunt in savannah and tall grasses so they can not be spotted as easily and only hunt during the day. They kill their prey by knocking it to the ground and suffocating it by biting it in the neck. They quickly eat it so bigger animals from the savannah don't steal it. These awesome cats are quick witted and strong and definitely my favorite animal in the jungle. Madeleine Madura 1

4 Weird Candy On October 31, we celebrate Halloween, also known as All Hollow's Eve. Jack-o-lanterns are a symbol of this holiday, and it represents dead souls. Halloween is a Christian holiday, but is celebrated in all cultures. But let s get real, it is all about the candy! The candy is the key to Halloween. There are many popular candies but there are very unusual candies like gummy bacon, gummy flesh fries, and werewolf hair. Gummy Bacon are bacon rapped gummies. This is very nasty in are opinion but try any way! Gummy flesh fries are gummy worm shaped as fries are just gummies shaped as fries! Werewolf hair is brown cotton candy. I don't know if they taste good or not, but try it. Remember to have a great Halloween! By: Ethan Lam 4
5 National Days World ood Day: World ood Day is celebrated on October 16 to honor the founding of the ood and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in World ood Day has been a tradition in the USA since Last year's theme was amily arming: eeding the world, caring for the earth. Remember to eat healthy foods and use #WorldoodDay to post on your social media accounts! Department Store Day: Department Store Day is celebrated on October 16 to recognize various department stores like Macy's around the world. The main way to celebrate this national day is to browse the aisles and pick something to buy. But of course you don't have to buy something if you don't want to. Remember to use #DepartmentStoreDay to post on social media! National Dictionary Day: National Dictionary Day is celebrated on October 16 to celebrate the contributions of Noah Webster, the father of the modern dictionary. The main way to celebrate this national day is to look in a dictionary and learn a definition of a word that you don't know. Remember to use #NationalDictionaryDay! Steve Jobs Day: Steve Jobs Day is celebrated on October 16 to celebrate Steve Jobs' life. Steve Jobs was the co-founder, chairman, and chief executive of Apple Inc. He was also a member of the Walt Disney Company. Remember to use #SteveJobsDay to post on social media. By: Maui Wabe, Ethan Lam, & Kari Can 5
6 Important Warning If you don t like insects or have Entomophobia also know as insectophobia, then I probably advise you to not read this article Cricket arms As we all know we cannot predict the future but we can always assume the future. By the title of this newsletter you probably know that this article will be talking about crickets. Anyway have you ever thought of eating a cricket in the future? Sure they look weird with their eye and antennas but they may be a part of our diets in the future. 2 Billion People in the world eat insects or arachnids, even in America! Some people have cricket farms where they breed crickets and once the crickets are adult, they are ready to eat. You may be wondering why crickets, why not spiders or even, well if you didn't know crickets are packed with lots of protein and many restaurants are creating cricket shakes such as Wayback Burgers. Crickets may be weird and may not look as yummy but in the future, if food supply is low and the only food that you had were crickets, than you would have to do it. Also, maybe one day you can try to eat a cricket and see how they taste. 6
