Refreshments and light snacks available during the day 10:00am Auction to commence Auction rules, terms and conditions 1. The highest bidder shall be the Purchaser and in the event of any dispute arising, the lot in dispute shall be put up again and the Auctioneer s decision shall be final. 2. No party will be allowed to retract his or her bid after it is taken by the Auctioneer. 3. There are only a few reserve prices, however no bird will be sold for less than $ Prior to commencement of the Auction, each intended bidder shall complete the Registration with their address, telephone number and signature and shall receive an Auction Buyer s Bidder Number. The Bidder Number will be required to purchase any lots at auction, and must be shown to the auctioneer after the fall of the hammer. In default, the lot purchased may, at the Auctioneer s absolute discretion, be immediately put up again and resold. 5. The Purchaser and the Vendor authorize the Auctioneer and/or his assistant to sign on their behalf the sale book, which with these conditions shall, except as otherwise provided by State or Federal Law, constitute the whole contract between the Vendor and the Purchaser to the exclusion of everything else. 6. All conditions and warranties expressed or implied by law are hereby excluded and as all lots are open for inspection prior to commencement of the sale, the same are sold with all faults, if any. Therefore no compensations shall be made in respect of any fault or imperfection or error of description of any lots sold or otherwise. Upon the fall of the hammer, each lot shall be at the Purchaser s risk. 7. The Auctioneer reserves the right to accept or refuse any bid on birds without having to state the reason or reasons thereof. 8. Payment for purchases shall be made by cash or Eftpos unless prior arrangements were made. Personnel cheques will not be accepted on the day of the auction with out prior arrangement. If any successful bidder fails to pay for their purchases on the day, unless by prior arrangement, then the vendor or their agent have the right to resell that lot in a manner they deem proper. 9. The show cages are not included in the purchase price and are not for sale. The Vendor or any of the assistants will not be touching the birds once they are sold- it will be the sole responsibility of each purchaser to handle his/her own birds on collection. Please note- caging facilities will not be available at the Auction and it is each Purchaser s responsibility to provide his or her own facility.

Henry s stud is well known for its quality in depth. This is again illustrated by the fact that in the last 8 years that he could exhibit he has had 15, 18, 9, 20, 11, 25, 22 & 15 birds respectively in the South Queensland National Team. In total over the last 20 years, excluding the five years he has judged the Nationals, he has had 255 birds benched at the Nationals for the South Queensland Team. In the last 3 years at the national shows, Henry has achieved 10 x 1 st, 8 x 2 nd and 5 x 3 rd, for a total of 23 top 3 placings. In 2014 Henry was honoured by receiving an Order of Australia, partly for his work in the building industry, but significantly for his work within the budgerigar fancy.

4 General Information This year the Auction again includes a number of Henry s older breeding stock that have been producing his quality birds. Some of the Birds in this year s auction, are young gold ringers that have not been used. Where the birds in this Schedule have been bred by Henry George they have the ring prefix BNS or SQ 10G. For clarity of the auction catalogue entries, the prefix has not been included as part of ring numbers for lots bred by Henry George. All of the birds in this Auction have been bred by Henry George. Where birds purchased for outcrosses are in the parentage of birds to be auctioned the full ring numbers of those birds have been scheduled. Absent Bidding Phone Bidding If you are unable to attend the auction and would like to purchase a bird, your instructions to Dail Cameron on dfcameron@dodo.com.au detailing the lot number and amount you wish us to bid, on each lot by Friday, 28th July A phone bidding team, led by Dail Cameron, mobile will be available on the day, his team will be able to give confirmation of the birds on sale also Dail will arrange for them to bid on your behalf. If you intend to bid by phone, arrangements prior to the auction should be made directly with Dail. We require payment for absent and phone bidding via direct deposit or by internet banking. The amount owed must be deposited on the first business day after the auction, or by internet banking to transfer the funds direct to the account below. Suncorp BSB Account # Freighting of the Birds By arrangement with Keith Gough, freighting of birds will only be made after payment is confirmed as having been received. The costs are $10 to $30 for a travel cage depending on numbers of purchases, plus whatever the freight company charges to your State. We will do our best to freight birds to suit each person s circumstances. Other instructions for delivery can be made by arrangement. After the auction, ALL birds being freighted will be returned to Henry s aviary until their shipping date. We take extreme care of the birds BUT accept no financial responsibility for mishaps whilst they are in our care or in transit after the auction.
