2 Cages (Prices subject to change with the changing costs of inputs.) Mostly, we focus on all wire hutches, but we do make a few wood frame hutches as well. For obvious reasons these are more expensive per square foot, but they provide greater stability and a designer s flair. The All Wire Hutch is completely ethical and accepted under the Animal Welfare Act. They are more sanitary than all wood hutches and are less likely to be destroyed by rabbit urine when using a high quality wire. All-Wire Hutches by 24 cage (18 height) Price: $28.00 Specifications: Sides are made using 1*2*18 galvanized wire Top uses 1*2*24 wire Bottom uses 1*1/2*24 wire Fastened together with C rings. Includes edge protectors around door opening and door latch. This cage is the standard size cage for most commercial meatproducing operations. This size is the most economical for any medium to large scale operation, although if you wish to raise rabbits, you should check out our multi-compartment cages.

3 2. 24 by 36 cage (18 height) Price: $40.00 This size cage is recommended for Giant breeds but is also perfect for those wishing to keep rabbits as pets. This size is also recommended if using crocks or bowls for the rabbit s feed and water supply since they reduce the floor space available. Also, this could be a good choice for small breeding operations to house the herd does in so there is plenty of room for both mom and young. 3. Three Compartment Cage (24 by 24, 18 height) Price: $75.00 This cage is a great beginner cage for anyone wishing to house multiple rabbits or breed their own meat rabbits. It consists of three 24 by 24 cages perfect for housing your beginner trio. Also, it is cheaper per compartment to buy the multicompartment cage as opposed to each individual compartment. The per compartment price is $25, a $3 discount per compartment over the individual buy. Total Dimensions: 6 x2 x18 4. Five Compartment Cage (24 by 24, 18 height) Price: $110.00

4 This cage is the all-in-one cage for a beginning breeder. As long as you do not anticipate growing your herd beyond the starting trio, this cage will satisfy all your needs. There is room for the trio and both weaned litters of kits to be housed separately. The per compartment price is $22, making this a very economical buy. Total Dimensions: 10 x2 x18 5. Six Compartment Cage (24 x24, 18 height) Price: $ This cage has one extra compartment than the Five Compartment variety and is mainly for placement in barns or sheds that were measured out in 12 sections. This way, the cages fit perfectly into the barn setup. Also, it gives an additional compartment to add an extra breeder to your starting stock. We use 2x2 treated wood to put them together and 1x2 treated wood for the door frame and braces. The wood frame is wrapped with ½ in. hardware cloth. Other wire sizes available by request. (An additional supply charge may be warranted) Each Hutch comes complete with hardware (i.e. hinges and door latches) Here is a list of our available sizes. 6 Breeding Stock We currently own a mixed breed herd of rabbits. Our main focus is meat-production, but we also have some dual-purpose (i.e. meat or pet) breeders. For our meat rabbits, we use New Zealand whites. They are the most common breed used for meat-production goals because they have large, generally healthy litters that grow off quickly and have a fine bone structure. In other words, they give you more bang for your buck. A single doe can have as many as 25 litters a year, and with an average of 8 kits per litter that are successfully raised, she could potentially raise over $1400 worth of kits in a year s time. This makes it well worth the price you pay for her initially. In addition to the meat rabbits, we raise other medium sized rabbits for pet sales. These rabbits are of unknown origin but seem to be a Chinchilla breed. They often throw a variety of agouti colors as well as broken blacks and greys when crossed with my New Zealand buck (who is apparently a broken). It is always a surprise with each new litter, and because of that, we ve kept these mutts and incorporated them into our breeding programs. Since we have no pedigrees, no registered stock, and you only have my previous results to go by on these rabbits, they are priced very affordably. Purebreds with or without pedigrees of these breeds often go for $25 to 50. But when you buy from us, most of the time you are saving a rabbit from being butchered and sold for meat, so the price is very affordable. Due to this however, we will rarely sell rabbits that are over 12 weeks of age. So if you buy one the day before slaughter day, you will have a good two months of watching it flesh out into a fine adult before you can start breeding. But as mentioned before, it s worth the wait.

7 Pricing for rabbits is based on the rabbit s age. We usually wean them at about 5 weeks, so no rabbits will be sold that are below that age. Also, no rabbits will be sold that are over 12 weeks of age (unless there are special circumstances). We price based on age due to the fact that each week a rabbit stays in our care, it consumes more feed and the amount that we have to charge to make a profit increases. 8 Chickens We currently have both a mixed breed flock and several varieties of purebred chickens. We are gradually working towards only breeding and selling pure breeds, or selectively crossed hybrids. Some of our available breeds are listed below: Standard (Large) Size: Buff Orpington Gender Rooster Hen Adult Weight 10 lbs 8 lbs Breed Description: A dual purpose breed most noted for its tendency to go broody. Orpingtons make the best moms, they are quiet and friendly, and their large size makes them good layers of large brown eggs. The birds are also quiet docile, similar to the Orpington. 9 Mature Laying Hens (over 2 years): $15.00 each Cuckoo Maran Gender Rooster Hen Adult Weight 9 lbs 7 lbs Breed Description: Bearing the appearance of the classic Dominique Chicken, these dual purpose birds are part of the Maran family, which lays the darkest chocolate brown eggs. Our particular strain includes Easter Eggers Hen 5 ½ lbs purchased from Cackle as well as a locally purchased Ameracauna rooster and some cross breed hens that fit the characteristics of Easter Eggers (i.e. bearded, lays green, blue or pink eggs) This is our fun breed that we plan to experiment with improving upon and creating the most variety of feather color and egg color in while improving the meat quality of the birds. 10 Gender Adult Weight Breed Description: Sporting the true wild coloration of the original Rooster 6 lbs chickens, the Brown Leghorn is the more predatory proof version of the commonly used leghorn used in egg production. Leghorns Hen 4 ½ lbs are renowned for their high rate of egg production. In addition to high egg production, these birds are flighty making them a perfect choice for free-ranging, but don t expect them to be a pet chicken. They generally are swift to escape when you approach and don t like being handled. Expect them to fly over fences if there is no roof on your pen and find their own place to lay their eggs. They are non-sitters for uninterrupted egg production. Pairs are selected based on conformance to the breed standard (or foreseeable conformance of offspring). No pairs will be selected that have the same fault or defect. The same thing goes for trios. Mille Fleur D uccle Breed Description: A true bantam, this particular strain is often called Halloween Millies due to the predominately orange colored feathers. In fact, these tiny chickens are reminiscent of candy corn/jack-o-lanterns. They lay tinted eggs that vary in color from light brown, pink, blue to green. The original D uccle is a bearded bird although the stock I am currently working with only has one bearded hen. I plan to gradually breed back to the standard, selecting for bearding and heavier feathering on the legs. Chicks: $4.00 each S/R Pair: $25 Trio: $35 Extra Hens: $15 each

11 Extra Roosters: $10 each Assorted Bantams (Barnyard Mix): Parents of these birds are pure breeds that we do not currently have a same breed mate for. Therefore, they are cross breeds that are strictly for backyard chicken keeping purposes and simply to look pretty. Whenever possible, we will try to give an idea of the pure breeds that go into our barnyard mix, including pictures of some of the birds. Also, we do not sell any birds that are obviously sick or have any defects. If after purchasing a bird from us, it later is found to have some defect, we absolve ourselves of any liability for the bird s health condition. 12 Quail Currently, we are focusing on high egg production birds that can be visually sexed at an early age. Our breeds consist of Jumbo Brown Coturnix and some Italian Coturnix. Coturnix, or Pharaoh quail, are the fastest maturing birds available for egg and meat production. These little birds take only 6 weeks to fully mature and start laying eggs. At the same time, the surplus males can be culled and put in the freezer. Coturnix quail will give a quicker return on investment than any other backyard poultry or small animal, including rabbits. Ideal male to female ratio is 1:3, with no more than one male per cage. Coturnix quail may be raised in rabbit cages, but require much less space. Cages that are 12 x24 are sufficient for one male and three females. We use rabbit water bottles for our birds since they stay cleaner and do not take up floor space. Chicks: $2 each S/R + $1 per week after the second week until meets adult price.** Adult Birds: $5 hen, $3 roo **After 3 weeks, quail can be visually sexed. At this point the price for roos does not increase further.
