Prestigious Auction Sunday 17 th January 2016 Viewing commences at 8:30 am Auction Commences at 9:30am AUCTIONEER: Mr. Peter Schellbach Lunch at approx. 12:00pm AUCTION RULES AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE All people prior to the start of the auction intending to bid shall complete a registration form and shall receive a bidder s number. On the fall of the hammer the purchaser shall display the bidder number to the auctioneer. The highest bidder shall be the purchaser and in the event of any dispute arising, the lot in dispute shall be put up again and the auctioneer's decision shall be final. After the fall of the hammer no party will be allowed to retract his or her bid. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or refuse any bid without having to state any reason. Payments for goods and birds shall be by Cash, Credit Card or Eftpos on the day. Please make prior arrangements if you want to pay by cheque. A 5% transaction fee will apply on all card transactions. The birds must not be interfered with by judging sticks, pens or other objects. No Smoking in the hall. All lot numbers will be presented in order corresponding to the catalogue. There will be approximately 1 hour viewing time from 8:30am prior to the ABS Inc. Prestigious Auction commencing at 9:30am. Officials will provide each bidder with a sales ticket for their purchases, upon payment this ticket will be stamped and then bidders must catch and cage their purchases at the end of the auction once collected by officials. The Australian Budgerigar Society Inc. act as agents only in respect of the goods being auctioned and are not responsible for any faults or defects in any lot. All intending purchasers must satisfy themselves with all aspects including origin, condition and age of lots which they may be interested in. Show cages are not included in sale of each lot and successful bidders are expected to have their own cages for collecting purchased birds. Successful bidders will be expected to transfer each lot into their own cages; officials will not be handling purchased lots. A transfer cage will be available to do this. All lots must be removed at the completion of the sale. Telephone bidding will be available, prior arrangements for purchases and payment must be made. Any scratching s or substitutions are to be advised to ABS Inc. prior to 9:00am on auction day, the vendor or the organizers have the right to withdraw or substitute any lot at their discretion. If any successful bidder fails to pay for their purchases on the day, the vendor or his agents have the right to resell the lot in any manner they think proper. Purchases may be collected prior to the completion of the auction, see steps below - Take sales slip to cashier. - Pay for purchases and obtain receipt for your purchases.

5 - Proceed to ABS Inc. stewards at collection point with cages and receipt. - Under supervision of ABS Inc. steward the purchaser will be required to remove budgerigars from sale cage in the transfer cage and place into their own cage. - The auctioneer, vendor and ABS Inc. stewards will not be touching the budgerigars. It is the sole responsibility of each purchaser to handle their own budgerigars purchased upon collection. - The buyer taking delivery of the goods shall be conclusive in evidence that the same are in satisfactory order and condition and fit for the purposes of which they are required. Winning an incredible 7 Logies in 2015 and amazing achievement probably will never be matched. Jim Parrish: Open Breeder & Sth. Qld National Representative on many occasions including 2009 Opaline, 2010 Dom. Pied. Jim focuses on Opaline and Yellowface variety budgerigars and has continued to produce winners from these quality bloodlines. Camelle Lamb: Open Breeder at Champion level, representing Sth. Jamie Wright: Jamie s Stud has been winning many awards & representing Sth Qld at National Level. Jamie won with his Lacewing at the Geelong Nationals in 2012 and has represented with Spangle and Opaline AOSV. Jamie has Shepard & Flanagan bloodlines in his stud. Tony Thompson: An up and comer in our hobby, has produced some quality budgies recently taking out major awards at the 2014 Wynnum Redlands Show and placed very high at the futures show with his young birds in the Opaline and Spangle classes. Bill Kirstenfeldt: Bill an Open breeder has been breeding budgerigars for 45 years, he has represented SQ at the Nationals and received placing s in Lacewing and Recessive Pied. Recently he has enjoyed success at the local shows with quality budgerigars. In 2015 Bill won 2 classes at the National Show lacewings and Australian Golden Face. Scott Eriksen: National Judge and Open Breeder who has enjoyed success at the National Level for many years receiving numerous high placing s. A breeder of quality budgerigars whose include Bob Smith, Alan Kent and Gary Gazzard.

7 Glen & Damen Winch: Open Breeders a successful Father and Son partnership with budgies representing the SQ at the National Level for the last 6 years in the following classes Normals, Yellow Face, Dominant Pieds and Double factor Spangles. Their stud is primarily based on the Henry George of Normals and Dominant Pieds. Cheryl Grunert: A soon to be Open breeder who enjoys success on the show bench with her stud of quality budgerigars. Has quality Spangles and Opalines from the bloodline of Wayne Robinson. Garry Edwards: Sth East Queensland Intermediate Breeder I have been breeding budgerigars since 1980 and with good success on the show bench.due to family commitments I had to give my hobby away in the ninety's returning 2 years ago and having good success once again. My Aviary Blood Line consist of Birds from Ken Dunk, Bob Smith, Gary Gazzard, Alan Kent,E L Miller, M. R Fellows. Kev Richards: An Intermediate breeder who focuses on the lesser varieties, his Darkwings and Black Eyed Self budgerigars are very strong. Lucas Hendry: An intermediate breeder and cadet judge who is another high achiever on the show circuit. Known for his Normals, Lucas also enjoys breeding quality sex-linked and lesser varieties. Graham Barlow: Open breeder and panel judge started breeding and showing in Lines began from Eddie Bud then continued to use outcrosses from Henry George, Les and Fran Percy and Brett and Danny Card. Has had many birds in the SQBBA Zone team and won at the Nationals in 2010 and had a 5th in Ken Dunk: Well-known SQ Open breeder has bred budgerigars since A former judge now mentor too many fanciers Ken a two time National Winner with a D/F Spangle in 2008 and a Normal in Ken has had numerous placings at the ANBC level and has received an enormous number of high awards at shows. Cedric D Costa : Open breeder and panel judge has recently shifted to sunny Queensland from NSW, he has a very good stud of quality budgerigars in all varieties. Cedric has received show success on the show bench receiving Champion of Show awards at many club shows and also winning at least 6 SQBBA Gold Breeder Awards this year. Cedric is particularly fond of the lesser variety budgerigar. Wayne Stephan: Open Breeder who has been in birds for over 38 years and has represented SQBBA on many occasions at the Nationals. consist of Henry George, Gary Gazzard, Ken Dunk and Vicky and Kevin O Reilly. Brian Harms: Toowoomba Intermediate breeder getting a reputation from the fancy as one of the next up and comers. A quality stud of budgerigars from the lines of Henry George, Mark Fellows and Gary Gazzard. The pictures tell a thousand words, have a look. Alan Kent: Open breeder, Alan has Champion status in SQ and is a three time ANBC National winner winning Spangle in 2013 and 2009, and the prestigious Hens class in Ken has had two seconds and two thirds as well as numerous placings at the ANBC level. His quality line is based originally on Mannes and Moffat bloodlines and is considered to be amongst the best in Queensland. Les enjoys the fancy and particularly breeding quality budgerigars. The family has a small stud of budgerigars from the bloodlines of Alan Kent, Ken Dunk, Bob Smith, Gary Gazzard and Mark Chidel. Les travels extensively sourcing quality budgerigars to improve his stud. The Hammond Family has had a lot of recent success on the show bench winning many major awards. Peter Jeffrey: Open Breeder from Toowoomba enjoying selection into the SQBBA team with his stud of budgerigars. Peter loves good feathered birds with size and continues to base his stud on these features. His stud consists of a big base of Henry George quality budgerigars. Peter is on his way to representing the SQBBA for many years to come with quality budgerigars from his stud. Karoly Lukacs: Karlos as he is known to everybody is an Intermediate breeder who focuses on Violets and Spangle variety budgerigars. He loves his Normals as well as Lesser varieties and is looking forward to advancing into Open in the near future.
