Any fowl found exhibiting signs of disease, respiratory issues, mites and the sorts will not be allowed on premises, or in the building. Should an exhibitor arrive with an endemic problem (severe mite outbreak, poultry with swollen eyes, etc.), the exhibitor forfeits their entry and will not be allowed to enter the facilities risking the overall health of the poultry being exhibited for the weekend. Any poultry that appear sickly or diseased during the competition must be promptly removed from the premises. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: The 2019 North Texas Poultry Showcase will allow exhibitors without a current test, only if they cannot get their poultry tested due to the shortage. Due to the temporary shortage of P-T antigen, the Texas Animal Health Commission will temporarily allow exhibitors to enter public exhibitions without a current test, only if they cannot get their poultry tested due to the shortage. Once the shortage has been resolved, the above-mentioned rule still applies for all exhibitors and public exhibitions. Hank Hayes, DVM - Region 4 Director, Texas Animal Health Commission.
