During Marks many visits to lofts picking up pigeons he quickly become bitten by the pigeon bug and decided he wanted to race pigeons himself. Because of the nature of the business Mark s time is at a premium and so for that reason Mark took a loft manager in Nick Taylor, Mark has an experienced and dedicated fancier who takes care of the every day chores around the racing lofts. Mark wanted the very Jas, Mark Walker and Nick. best and right from the start he decided he would invest in what he thought was the best available. Through his many visits around the continent, the pigeons that most impressed Mark were the pigeons of Dirk Van Den Bulck, Stefaan Lambrechts and Hans and Evert-Jan Eijerkamp. Mark invested heavily and bought some truly fantastic pigeons. These first investments quickly established themselves as capable breeders and have started to breed winners straight away. In 2017/18 the team won an 10 x 1st Club, 7 x 2nd, 14 x 3rd and 10 x 4th and in the Heart Of England Fed they have won 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd and 2 x 4th and another 16 prizes in the first 10 of the Fed. Many of the fanciers who know the Van Den Bulck pigeons say Greipel is the one to have them from and here we offer a super double grandson. After what was a fantastic 2017 for the loft of Les Green, which saw his team of Dirk Van Den Bulcks and Stefaan Lambrechts win all before them including 10 times 1st Federation and an unbelievable 41 prizes in the first 4 of the Fed and to cap it all, the title of 1st Nat Ace sprinter all RPRA with his super pigeon Boonen the 2018 season could not come any quicker. Les Old Bird team had been strengthened with the addition of 40 yearlings, giving him a total old bird race team of 56 pigeons, which consisted of 28 cocks and 28 hens. It has to be said that Les loft location is far from ideal as he is one of the furthest westerly flyers in Altrincham Federation and the results achieved in this Fed are really down to merit and not loft position. A summary of the 2018 OB season shows us that Les old bird team won a total of 31 x 1st Prizes. This includes 10 x 1st Fed, 8 x 2nd Fed, 9 x 3rd Fed & 8 x 4th Fed, giving a total of 35 prizes in the first 4 of the Fed. In the 8 Club races with Eccles H.S. He won 30 prizes in the first 4 from a possible 32 on offer Including 8 x 1st, 8 x 2nd, 7 x 3rd, 7 x 4th. In the Atherton Federation he won 25 prizes in the first 4 from the 8 races competed in. Also in the West Pennine Amalgamation he won 25 prizes in the first 4 from the 8 races competed in.

4 Lot 8 Les Green, Double Grandson of Kittel. In Altrincham Federation he won a total of 24 prizes in the first 10. In the South Section of the Combine he won a total of 24 prizes in the first 10. In the Central Lancashire Combine he won a total of 23 prizes in the first 10 including winning 1st Open Combine on 4 occasions making it 9 x 1st Open Combine in 2 seasons! He also won a total of 158 prizes in the first 10 of all competition Including 31 x first Prizes, 27 x 2nd Prizes, 29 x 3rd Prizes, 29 x 4th Prizes, 14 x 5th Prizes, Competing in 2 Federations he won an unbelievable 46 prizes in the first 10 and 40 prizes in first 5. This is despite only being allowed to have a maximum of 4 birds on any Fed, Amal, Section and Combine result. Since the introduction of the Van Den Bulcks and Stefaan Lambrechts pigeons in 2014 Les says he has never competed better than he does now, he has never flown with the same level of consistency in the Combine against some really tough competition. He believes he has introduced the best pigeons he has ever raced in his long and successful career in pigeon racing. Here he has offered 12 in total and all from his best Van Den Bulck lines. Steve Perkins, St Mary s Loft Reading won 5x1st Federation 2018, Clark Brothers, Hornchurch won 5 x 1st Federations with birds from Steven and 1st & 3rd Open London North Road Combine. Tim Pierpoint has also won 8 x 1st Clubs and 20 top ten Fed positions with their pigeons in Steven Fenech himself did not race in 2018 but in 2017 he raced in 8 YB races winning the Fed in all 8 races!
